About 6 weeks ago tigers offered in an informal discussion Reynolds or Brooks for Cleary to get Nathan for 2019\. My feeling this is what prompted Penrith into action. If Nathan leaves, Penrith will want something in return so high chance he will be released from final year if that’s indeed what he wants.

Also I don’t believe Ivan will coach Nathan long term. So even if Nathan signs with Penrith for his next deal does not mean Ivan will leave after this deal. I more see them teaming up in 4-5 years not 2

So the offer Penrith made to someone and they are waiting for an answer is …. not Ivan Cleary!
Lots of versions of the truth - and if there was never an offer why on earth did we get to this point?
If its over all well and good, but I doubt this is the last of it and quite frankly it will continue to be an unwelcome distraction for everyone.
