If Ivan goes at the end of his contact so be it the club does not own him and if the b/s of the last few weeks did not happen there is no guarantee that he would sign a new contract anyway

I don't think anyone has a problem with that. The hope from Penrith is they sign him from 2021 and we release him early. Win for them, win for Ivan as we released him and he didn't ask for a release and remains a man of honour and integrity.

Personally i haven't changed my stance and i hope the club doesn't either. Ivan to see out his contract.

I debated with myself. My conclusion, I’m confident that now you all know you will demand our club stand up and fight (like they promised)

The risk here is our beloved club tries to spin a story about moving on… blah blah a legal process will be expensive and a distraction etc

So you want people to donate their hard earned to (hypothetically) retain a coach that (hypothetically) doesnt wanna be here?
Or is it compensation?

If that's true, then Tigers must know. Ivan can't leave without Tigers permission, with some sort of deal done. Whoever the "senior person" is at Tiges, can't be that senior.

I have thought there is something fishy with both Benji and Farah being retained. Maybe this feel good story offsets Ivan leaving and provides some stability for the club? I don't know.

Just seems strange that they would stay another year when surely if they are playing anything but ISP, we are no chance for a top 8 spot. Mixed feelings.

Take all this for what it's worth, but out Penrith way they still are very confident Ivan will be their coach next year. I spoke to a Panthers member who sits near folk he reckons are in the know and that's what they think is happening. And he also said Nathan just bought a house in the Penrith area, again for what that's worth. Last bit, again for what it's worth, Ivan at a WestCare charity function on 16/8 where Dave O'Neill was in attendance

I would only hope the club is looking at a top coach and not leaving it until its too late. I don't want him if he doesn't want to be here. POM has already stated we have (and I have heard it from another source close to the club) that we/will - have signed three good players for next year (obviously they are still under contract / in the finals so cannot be disclosed at this point.

Instead of everyone trying to second guess what has/will happen - maybe we should all relax and wait until the club make the announcement of which players we have, coach has already been decided.

"Don’t expect anything till the season ends. Majority of targets are still contracted. Things will make sense once announced & if we can get these 2-3 good names over the line."

My guess is the club was negotiating based on Ivan being there. I say this as I have also heard that a Penrith player was late stages in negotiating to join us but “will now join up with Cleary at Penrith” (rather than Tigers). Not Nath.
