Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

Cleary will be here for 2 years. It’s a guarantee end of section. There is no way he would put his family through the Judas move to the Panthers nor do I think Gould would make this happen. It’s not worth the reputational damage which would be done to the Cleary family and Penrith.

I think Cleary will stay too, but I don't think Guss cares about anyone other than himself. I don't think he'd even care that much about the effects on NC. Guss thinks he is bigger than the game and bigger than any club which you can pick up on everytime that terd opens his slimy mouth.

Farah just on League Life said when he re-signed for next year he asked Ivan if he was staying because he didnt want to play under another coach & Ivan said he was staying .

He didnt mention body language or hugs though …

That’s right,
Farah actually said…....... “Cleary assured him he will be here next year “.
Interesting !

That is great to hear.

Assured is the most real type of answer we have had.

Well Farah’s interview should put the Cleary thing to bed once and for all.

Of course we can now devote hundreds of pages of posts, to what he will do in two years time!!

Robbie Farah: Ivan Cleary told me he will coach West Tigers in 2019

ROBBIE Farah is confident Tigers coach Ivan Cleary will stay at the club because he has been active in convincing the hooker to re-sign with the team.

AAPSeptember 6, 201810:50am

WESTS Tigers coach Ivan Cleary has given hooker Robbie Farah assurances he will remain at the club next year, despite speculation surrounding Penrith’s interest in the mentor.

Cleary’s future, the destination of his son Nathan and the vacant Panthers coaching role are all but certain to be story of the off-season.

Cleary has refused to answer questions on the topic since providing a brief statement last month, where he vowed to honour his Tigers contract which expires at the end of 2020.

However, it came after the Panthers revealed they had only sacked then-coach Anthony Griffin because the Tigers mentor was going to speak to his board about Penrith’s interest in him.

Farah, now aged 34, last week committed to another year at the NRL club alongside fellow veteran Benji Marshall, and said he’d confirmed Cleary’s future before committing to his own.

“I asked him, I rang him because obviously he was key to all my negotiations and he really wanted me to stay,” Farah told Fox Sports’ League Life.

“After everything happened and my negotiations were getting further down the track, I rang him and said ‘mate, are you staying? Because I don’t want to go through another coach’.

“He assured me he was going to be there and that was the only gauge I could get, through my conversations with him,

“He’s planning for next year and we all hope he stays.”

It comes after Cleary has long said he wants to work with son Nathan at some point in the near future.

The Panthers halfback is off-contract at the end of next season, making him free to negotiate with from November 1 of this year.

To me that settles it. No mixed messages, hidden innuendoes, clear as day.
Cleary staying, Matterson signing, next is a centre, and Nath before Christmas.

Let's now sit back and watch Panthers get knocked out by week 2.

If Cleary is coming , no way he is coming in 2018 if we have signed Matterson

2020 is fine, I just mean the deal signed and settled.
What I would give for on November 1 to have that deal announced. What a kick in the pants that would be for Gould.

Anyway, good work Tigers, let's go find a centre.

Careful, you shouldn't jump the gun. Formerguest has not got to work deconstructing Ivan's words. There may still be some wriggle room for Ivan to crawl through.

Well Farah says he spoke to Cleary and he says his staying. He then ends the article by saying:

“He is planning for next year and we all hope he stays”

We all hope he stays? Why are they hoping? Isn’t he under contract.

Come on, you knew someone was going to jump on that comment lol.

His planning to see out his contract.

Weeks and weeks and weeks ago when I said on here Ryan Matterson will come to the Tigers well the person who told me that said that Shane Flanagan will coach Penrith in 2019 on a 4 year contract the person is right about 65 percent of the time

That's interesting, I wonder who will take over at Cronulla if true?

With those number the odds are his next prediction will turn out to be false….but I hope Flanagan does go to Penriff...great match with Gould..both are turds...

Have you heard of any other players that we are still interested in and you think we are a shot at luring across?

And fingers crossed Flanno does go over, for our sake, Ivan could finally get some breathing space.
Though Panthers on peptides just might be able to win a comp.
