JAC

He has a bit of Beau Ryan in him in that he loves the crowd….doesn't mind pashing the logo. These guys bring the fans thru the gates

JAC would be my pick, Koroibete has improved since he left but not for the money he's asking.
Would love the club to develop JAC.
Think he missed the NSW Cup game today due to injury?

We have to keep JAC and pick him in fg,i find it hard to believe his defence could be any worse than Nofo and Kevs if that's what holding him back.

I'd say he'll get his go now that Tedesco is out, with Rankin going to fb. I really hope he grabs it with both hands and makes it his own.

My only question mark is his build. Playing NRL on the wing it helps if you either have some bulk about you or a low centre of gravity like Nofo.

Although speed makes up for a lot of deficiency

JAC on the wing or Simona with MCK to centre - Choices, choices….it's nice to have a few for a change.

I just read that JAC wanted to go to Storm before June 30 but we refused to grant him a release. Hopefully this doesn't mean he will be gone at the end of the season.

We don't know that he wanted to go, only that they wanted him. His manager was likely doing all the talking too. He was desperate to join the Tigers so it would seem odd to want out so desperately after 9 weeks.

We need to sign him up for a couple of years soon though. He should get his game time with Teddy out and this should appease his immediate desires but from all accounts of his with direct quotes he said never expected to walk straight into first grade from the nyc and was enjoying developing his game against men in the nsw cup.

He has the same build as the former very good winger Chicka Ferguson who scored a try for Canberra in their 1989 grand final win.

His build reminds me of Larry Corowa. Not quite as quick - but then no one is!

I would be very surprised if Larry Corowa was faster than JAC.

Would be interested to compare their speed as Larry could certainly motor in his day!

Larry was at least a yard quicker than any other speedster in his days, JAC is very quick but most sides have one out and out speedster these days. Be great if he turns out to be the real deal, but lets see how he handles a month in the top grade

That was a grand final Balmain should have won. If memory serves me correctly Benny Elias' field attempt hit the posts with the scores tied near the end of normal full time.

Should have one is the operative word.

Balmain shot out to a good lead and was run down - obviously it is in the WT genes as well mate.

Whilst I am an old wests supporter, my mum and sister and most of my mums family were all Balmain supporters, I felt that loss for them, I actually rang my mum at halftime and said looks like you won't lose this one like last year.
Sorry to all the old Balmain supporters for jinxing that second half. :frowning:

I watched it again the other day… Balmain didn't deserve to win that grand final. They were too busy carrying on with rubbish in every single tackle, They threw the ball around like the harlem globe trotters - With absolutely no respect for possession. Gave away massive amounts of penalties, On top of making mistake after mistake....

In what world would that win you a game these days, We should know we're 3/6 from playing the same game. Didn't work then - Doesn't work now.
Canberra toiled away in that game, Held they're cool and were deserved winners....

That said, I still hate them!!

It's something we'll never know, but having watched a lot of Corowa (and admittedly only a small amount of JAC), my money would be on Corowa. An interesting aside here, Larry raced against the winner of the Stawell Gift - can't remember the year - and won. Amazing speed.
