Nothing has changed with JAC. I said 3 weeks ago that he agreed to terms I don’t know where all this is coming from or I know that Melbourne wanted a player swap but Madge won’t. When they signed Jennings we thought they would have released him. All the talk about South and bulldogs have been rubbish

The talk about Souths has not been rubbish. JAC 100% is interested in playing there.

And you know how ??? let me guess the paper ???

Who’s your source? Don’t need to name names but Is it a sponsor? Staff member? Journo?

You don’t need know. Have I been accurate that’s all matters

But happy to ask for others sources lol

I can’t see JAC at the Storm in 2021. He seemed adamant in the lead up to the GF, and in the aftermath that that was it for him.

Insideman has shared inside info with me which makes me think he has eyes and ears on it. I’ll say no more.

Sounds like we’ve given him a decent offer over 4 years.

I’d be reluctant on getting into a bidding war for him if things have changed. Save the money for Tedesco, Coates, Crichton, Finucane, Luai etc.

Can’t understand not wanting to give them Talau especially now Josh is willing to stay at Melbourne for another season

Unless Talau becomes an Australian level player it will not be worth it. Maybe they think that highly of him at the club

Talau better go on to play for Australia he has probably cost us JAC can understand us keeping Nofo as he was Close to origin

Talau hasn’t cost us anything. What a ridiculous sentiment. Talau is doing everything he is required todo as a relative newbie to first grade.

Hey Josh
Don’t be sucker mate .... it’s a game game of bluff poker.
We don’t need to give them anything that we want/need to keep.

Melbourne will be quite happy to keep him another season, they get a top quality winger on the cheap it’s much better for them. They can hold out for a swap all season long if need be

Come 2022 the entire nrl will chase him and we will have no chance.

Spot on Josh
He goes on open market with no swap deal required for 2022 we are no hope of getting him. 2021 was out chance and a player swap we chose to keep Talau .... i understand the outcry if it was Nofo i get the club shutting that down as player of year and all but Talau come on

Mike we could have tried to give him to storm as they were after for the JAC swap
we will end up with nothing out of this and what IF nofo does sign elsewhere (not that he will but he could)
We lose Nofo
Lose signing JAC

Talau isn’t a pawn. We can’t click our fingers and make him go if he doesn’t want to. It’s not as straight forward as saying “let’s just give them Tommy”

Have you thought through this post logically ? Your post assumes that because we didn't give up Talau we have missed out on getting JAC. This is clearly nonsensical. There is no need for any player swap if we are signing JAC.

If JAC wants to sign with us he can. He can sign for 2022. There is nothing stopping this happening. Then you wait and see if Melbourne release him or Melbourne acquire another player.

On the radio a few minutes ago, headline was JAC could stay at the Storm. But the actual story is Storm want a replacement.

JAC is crucial to our rebuild. Get the deal done.

But that’s not Talau’s doing, he has done everything expected of him. It is unreasonable to expect anything more.

I presume he is on a modest contract. He's a keeper. However paying big dollars for two wingers? JAC is a must.

It'd be great to get him but making it so one dimensional isn't helpful. He'd be good but he isn't the key to our rebuild. The key is developing a quality squad. JAC would help us do that but if we miss out there will be other players.

We need quality. JAC is quality and has a soft spot for WTs. The cast offs and rejects mentioned from other clubs don't cut it.

if we didn't have covid talau would probably jump and a move to Bellamy and the storm. I'm not having a go at talau as a player hebhas had a good first year but the chance to entice a current rep player to club i think the club should have encouraged a talau move to storm thats all
God imagine if it was Nofo for suggested move the place would be in meltdown

I'm not doubting that JAC is a quality player and we want to get him. I'm just stating that you don't control that outcome. You put a good offer in, you don't get caught up in the media and fan dribble and you let JAC make the decision.

At the same time you are continually on the lookout for players that will fit our system.

If cast offs and rejects fit our system and the players we want here and you can get them a little cheaper go for it. I reckon Douiehi is a classic example of a guy we can build around and he is a reject.

i think if we are looking at Allan from souths or DWZ we may aswell for 2021 keep Tommy Talau Mommo Joey L Mmbye and like for centres / wing
