Bulldogs will throw big coin at him, more than anyone else most likely. They need a fullback pretty badly, we’ve signed Laurie for 2022 so we’ll probably try sign JAC to play wing but doubt he goes for that.

Or Laurie plays five eighth or wing if we get JAC??

There’s the possibility Laurie can play 5/8 and Doueihi plays centre if we don’t keep Joey

Why do I strangely like that

If the Bulldogs want to mortgage their entire salary cup around a rookie and two rep wingers let them. They have no 9 and a weak forward pack. Their backs are going to struggle to win games playing out of their own end every set no matter how good they are. At least we'll see JAC score a lot of long range tries while the Dogs are getting beaten by 18 most weeks.

Can see them being in the exact same situation as us in a couple years

Worst thing for them is...I’m pretty sure they just got out of a similar mess

They believe in what they are doing so be it....time tells all, just like it has with our Cleary signings.... they looked good at the time...

Spot on, their signings are all young, unlike ours who were old and likely to get injured, also they haven't got any 4 year deals like we went for with all 3 of our bad contracts

Im going to re-evaluate my opinion of JAC staying at Storm next year...granted he is staying one more year because of a pay increase...he is still looking to move back to Sydney, now it seems that the Bulldogs have an interest and maybe he still wants to join the brotherhood out Redfern way, this is where I change my mind and think he is really after a big pay for the next say 4 years, not just to join the boys, but mainly for the money while in Sydney he is still closer to them than being in Melb..
I still think he may want to be with family,BUT,the compassionate grounds was a means and way to get to Sydney and big money offers for his services...good luck to him,I didnt like that in the article in the news saying he didnt want to join us because Madge was the coach...dont know why they would state that seeing Madge worked with Bellamy and would be somewhat similar in styles...

How the hell can dogs afford burton cotric and jac bugger off

Apparently on big dollars.

Burton at $800k per season. He had better be unreal. Put it this way that is Mbye/Packer/Reynolds type money. To me that is close to being one of the top players in the comp and he isn't even a regular first grade player. The figures that get reported have to be overinflated.

Isn't DWZ also on above 500k ?

I don't know if we should try and pay JAC $800k per season ?

Burton is on 800k over two years. They are that stupid. Citric is on good money for a centre/wing but other than that their recruitment isn't that bad. I personally don't feel Josh Addo Carr should be at fullback. He hasn't got the kickng game or passing game. If I would target anyone for fullback I'd go for Jahrome Hughes. He was excellent there and had the entire skillset.

I'd rather have the contracts they have on their books than the ones we currently have. Cotric, DWZ, Burton against Mbye, Packer and Reynolds.

Is it 400k per season or 800k per season ? 400k is a big contract but it's a million times better than our punt on Reynolds.

Why is anyone concerned about seeing jac with other clubs. It's well known that he's going to be speaking with a few clubs this week as this is his first chance to do so after quarantine. Yes he will be spotted at Redfern and also at Concord.

Dogs already have:
Thompson 850k
DWZ 850k
Jackson 750k
Cotric 650k
Hopoate 650k
Hetherington 500k

And apparently want to throw 500k at Burton, 800k at jac and a million at B.Smith? lol

I've read in multiple articles Dogs offered Burton 800k/season which for a bloke yet to establish himself in FG is silly but also likely necessary to entice him to join. DWZ is apparently on around 750-800k I'm told by mates who follow all things Dogs religiously as he was signed at the time to play FB and Cotric was signed for over 500k.
