IDK but as a club we cannot go through this again because it doesn’t end well for us.

Stay strong Jonesy

Ha ha ha... We need a Councillor for the fans :grinning:

I wonder what we are going to do with our time when we have a successful team and we don't need to recruit outside players. Might have to talk to the wife...

If we don’t upgrade the team, then we are destined to a bottom 8 team. JAC is just one part of the puzzle.
If we start winning they will come.

Trouble is he is on the edge of the puzzle - doesn't make the picture clearer to finish the puzzle quickly.

Johnson staying on is dependant on Suali
No chance of getting JAC according to Paul Crawley.

Well we can lock in JAC going to souths now :money_mouth_face:

Not sure of its accuracy, but rumours are also circulating that Storm and Cowboys have put in offers to Johnston. Wasn't fond of it earlier in the year but found myself gravitating toward us putting a offer in for him - he's been great for them this year.

Hate that we always seem to be fighting for crumbs. That most of our targets are essentially based upon how the dominos fall for other clubs.

Unfortunately that is spot on... We are the bottom feeders unless we over pay until we consistently make finals.
I believe if we can start playing consistent good footy and making finals, Plus the completion of the COE we will start been the club where players want to come.. It's just so hard to get over that hill but with all the talented juniors we have signed we are heading in the right direction.

It's a vicious circle we keep going around Success attracts success whilst failure attracts the scraps and has been. We really need sustained success to attract players then we would become a diserable destination. Sign Maguire up for the next 3 seasons and aline all contracts with his contract. If we need to sign players beyond Maguire's contract the have contracts in our favour.

Would be nice to get under Souths guard and get Suali. Why do they need 2 fullbacks? What position does Latrell play next year?

It feels like we've put the cue in the track until the COE is built. We got bigger issues that bricks and mortar wont fix.

I can see it all unfolding now - Storm want a decent player swap before letting JAC go a year early on his contract, AJ to the rescue! Ethan Lowe will be medically retired at Souths to free up the extra cash they need, after they’ve offloaded AJ, to sign JAC on the coin he wants. JAC may even be willing to take a bit less if he can play with his ‘brothers’ and under Unca.

A simple and a highly likely scenario, imo. In fact, I’d bet my house on it happening. We’ve seen it all before, the strong just get stronger while the weak, as you say always seem to end up fighting for the crumbs. It’s such a fair comp this NRL, can’t wait tho watch the same teams fight it out year after year over the next decade - it will be so enthralling!
