Exactly. PNG people are good souls and live for their rugby league.
Many don't understand the awesome beauty, danger and remoteness of PNG.
The Kumuls coach on the Chasing Kangaroos podcast said that PNG players don't get professional coaching at juniors and just want to run hard at the opposition.
He said that when Olam arrived at Storm he was told that he had to forget everythibg he did and relearn all his footy skills. Plus learning a new language, it's a huge effort to make it to where he is.
If you ever get a chance, listen to Justin Olam on Sandor Earl's podcast, he talked about what it was like growing up on his village. The jobs he had to do as a 5 year old then walk across a mountain to school and back - it's incredible......
