Appears to be a few positive pollyannas on here. And that’s ok, but at least come up with some honest disclosure for your attitude.
We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing. How about those pollyannas stop ***trying to ridicule fans who are simply hanging out for some good news,*** asking to be swayed by some tiny indication that the club has decided to develop as a professional organisation.

Im not a positive pollyanna, Im as disappointed as anyone else with our lack of success, but it doesnt get in the way of the truth for me.

As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations. After the Latrell experience, I would think everyone would welcome that.

But in the absence of news from the club, the ***negative nellies*** here simply make stuff up and that is not helpful in a discussion. I have read here that management has "fumbled" the JAC discussion (despite the fact we ahve heard nothing and know nothing), we are a laughing stock (despite the fact that Souffs and Bulldogs are in the same boat as us and many more imagined woes that have no basis in truth.

Myself and many others here have pointed out that significantly increased revenue, stabilised board structure, elimination of debt, increases year on year for membership, massive increases in sponsorship, appointing sponsor as chairman, Appointing twin premiership winning coach, cutting deadwood from coaching staff, establishment of the COE, signing Aus Schoolboys half and hooker, getting the Grant loan over the line, picking players on form and dropping high profile players regardless of profile and paypacket. signing of Tamou, LL, Blore, Stef, Douiehi.......are ALL very positive indications of the direction we are going, but you would be excused for not hearing it over the WHAAAAAAA WHAAAAAA WHAAAAAA

but we couldn't even sign curtis rona.....😉

Not yet.....but only negative nellies give up that easy, us positive pollyanna's havent lost hope.

bahahahahahaha.....I guess the negative nellies and the positive pollyanna's will be the biggest divide since the merge....

Give yourself a kiss in front of the mirror tonight, you’ve mentioned “negative nellies” twice in as many minutes.

Why pay Jac that sort of $$ when we can get a broken down Moylan for 500k and some other hack for 300k, with sharks chipping in. Pascoe could spin it as a big recruitment win for our club, then when he does his hamstring in round 1 we can use injuries as an excuse for finishing 10th all while Jac is leading try scorer for another club lol

I honestly think one of the biggest problems with our supporter base is we never EVER let anything go. I understand people will support as they want how they want but if you literally go through the biggest threads on this forum you find a constant bombardment of our mistakes.
The truth is as a tigers supporter we know we stuffed up with some recruitment stuff. As a tigers supporter we know we are paying Reynolds, packer mbye too much. Yet every 2nd post is one of those issues as if its new news.

Man we need to let things go and move on imo.

Get ready for 12 months of Benchie comparing the Rorters organisation to us on primetime Fox League once a week...

Will be painful :face_with_head_bandage: :face_with_head_bandage:

Seems giving them time only works against us. Take it or leave it with a set withdraw of offer date. In the interim continue looking for good players stuck behind better players at their existing club.

I don't understand this POV in relation to JAC.

Hi is not legally able to sign anything until 1 November, and even then he is only able to sign for 2022.

Apparently we and his management have agreed to terms.

So what is the point of threatening to withdraw the offer before he is legally able to sign it?

Because we are a laughing stock apparently. No idea why we are supposedly a laughing stock but the other clubs chasing him are not. No one has signed him yet. Some fans have self esteem issues I think.

And some are happy to miss the Semis 9 year in a row. Were all different.

Can you give me their names please ?

Apparently defending an administration and regime that is clearly improving the club as a whole , from the ground up , means you’re happy the team has been losing for 9 years . If you are having a tantrum and advocating for everyone to be sacked , because sporting organisations who sack everyone continuously , arnt the very definition of a sporting basket case , then that attitude is the way to go

People like you are the EXACT reason we are a laughing stock........This club will NEVER be a success until ALL of our toys are out of the cot!

Lol what a load of absolute rubbish . The facts are , teams that lack continuity do not win ...ever . The last one I can remember is the early Abrohimovich Chelsea sides , when they bought a premiership . And now all the money in the world won’t change the fact that continuity and purchases that fit into a system , are the only recipe for success.
Firing you’re first grade coach every 2 years when they are just starting to get the system underneath to move and recruit the players that best fit that system , is to confirm mediocrity .
That’s where we are at . The players have been recruited underneath , we are trying to recruit the right ones at the top .
But Koori kids don’t come here . I don’t know why . Maybe it’s just because we are directly competing against Souths , maybe we have a reputation that doesn’t sit right with the indigenous boys I don’t know . But I’ve always wondered why .
Cause throwing the baby out with the bath water has worked before right . It definitely worked with the big 4 leaving . Definitely worked when Farah did it to potter . Also really worked when we all got the poos at sheens , including the players . It’s also worked at the dogs , the Titans , the broncos , twice in 3 years , the warriors , and that’s just 1 competition. It’s worked for the Browns in NFL , the West Sydney wanderers since poppa left , Chelsea despite all the money they spend . I could literally pick a team who behave like this in every competition in the world , because there’s always one petulant impatient owner ,or , group of supporters who just don’t get it .

Let’s see if you’re right inside man, if you are then you truly might be the inside (info) man.

Honestly it does make a little sense for them

Is that the Atherton Roosters
I think that signing if true is just a back up signing
I would guess Roosters are about to sign that young kid from Souths who will go into the halves if they can get clearance
If not the Benji for a year

Souths money to JAC
JAC's position? Wing
That might be why Johnston recieved a pay cut as he wont be 1st choice

It’s constant . Every single thread has the same whinging about , the fact our first grade side is perpetually 9th. Great . And after you say it a few times , what’s the point . The paps and JAC fiasco happened , because the storm were smart, and saw an opportunity , to sneak underneath our radar , because we were preoccupied with signing our “big name “ players . That’s what happened. It was diabolical. And the guys responsible don’t work here anymore .
What are you gonna do about it . Offer overs for a winger to play fullback ? Or try and make astute purchases at a junior level , which btw is what we are whinging the storm did to us . We have to build the farm , hopefully strike gold in a few places , and the. Be able to nurture the right guys around that core , whoever they are , and sign the right players to build on that .
The storm sign zero players of worth ever . It’s bench player here , unknown gun junior there , rejected junior over here . It’s never LM,
Or JAC , it’s bloody Clint newton and sandor earl .
Why ? Because it’s hard to get new south Welshmen to move to Melbourne , and by and large , it’s usually a rip off.

So yea excuse me if I don’t Want to go down the rabbit hole of negativity, and try to remain optimistic and realistic about signing a fast winger to play fullback .

JAC will be announced after the Grand Final with the Tigers. Also Edene Gebbie is on our radar and I think he has agreed to join.

So what day is this getting announced?

Today?

Tomorrow?

Never?
