I don't understand this POV in relation to JAC.

Hi is not legally able to sign anything until 1 November, and even then he is only able to sign for 2022.

Apparently we and his management have agreed to terms.

So what is the point of threatening to withdraw the offer before he is legally able to sign it?

Because we are a laughing stock apparently. No idea why we are supposedly a laughing stock but the other clubs chasing him are not. No one has signed him yet. Some fans have self esteem issues I think.

And some are happy to miss the Semis 9 year in a row. Were all different.

Can you give me their names please ?

Apparently defending an administration and regime that is clearly improving the club as a whole , from the ground up , means you’re happy the team has been losing for 9 years . If you are having a tantrum and advocating for everyone to be sacked , because sporting organisations who sack everyone continuously , arnt the very definition of a sporting basket case , then that attitude is the way to go

People like you are the EXACT reason we are a laughing stock........This club will NEVER be a success until ALL of our toys are out of the cot!

Lol what a load of absolute rubbish . The facts are , teams that lack continuity do not win ...ever . The last one I can remember is the early Abrohimovich Chelsea sides , when they bought a premiership . And now all the money in the world won’t change the fact that continuity and purchases that fit into a system , are the only recipe for success.
Firing you’re first grade coach every 2 years when they are just starting to get the system underneath to move and recruit the players that best fit that system , is to confirm mediocrity .
That’s where we are at . The players have been recruited underneath , we are trying to recruit the right ones at the top .
But Koori kids don’t come here . I don’t know why . Maybe it’s just because we are directly competing against Souths , maybe we have a reputation that doesn’t sit right with the indigenous boys I don’t know . But I’ve always wondered why .
Cause throwing the baby out with the bath water has worked before right . It definitely worked with the big 4 leaving . Definitely worked when Farah did it to potter . Also really worked when we all got the poos at sheens , including the players . It’s also worked at the dogs , the Titans , the broncos , twice in 3 years , the warriors , and that’s just 1 competition. It’s worked for the Browns in NFL , the West Sydney wanderers since poppa left , Chelsea despite all the money they spend . I could literally pick a team who behave like this in every competition in the world , because there’s always one petulant impatient owner ,or , group of supporters who just don’t get it .

Relax mate, get your sarcasm meter recallibrated. I agree with you.

It’s hard to read tone on here mate , it’s written text . And many have that opinion. But apologies anyway .

We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing. How about those pollyannas stop ***trying to ridicule fans who are simply hanging out for some good news,*** asking to be swayed by some tiny indication that the club has decided to develop as a professional organisation.

Im not a positive pollyanna, Im as disappointed as anyone else with our lack of success, but it doesnt get in the way of the truth for me.

As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations. After the Latrell experience, I would think everyone would welcome that.

But in the absence of news from the club, the ***negative nellies*** here simply make stuff up and that is not helpful in a discussion. I have read here that management has "fumbled" the JAC discussion (despite the fact we ahve heard nothing and know nothing), we are a laughing stock (despite the fact that Souffs and Bulldogs are in the same boat as us and many more imagined woes that have no basis in truth.

Myself and many others here have pointed out that significantly increased revenue, stabilised board structure, elimination of debt, increases year on year for membership, massive increases in sponsorship, appointing sponsor as chairman, Appointing twin premiership winning coach, cutting deadwood from coaching staff, establishment of the COE, signing Aus Schoolboys half and hooker, getting the Grant loan over the line, picking players on form and dropping high profile players regardless of profile and paypacket. signing of Tamou, LL, Blore, Stef, Douiehi.......are ALL very positive indications of the direction we are going, but you would be excused for not hearing it over the WHAAAAAAA WHAAAAAA WHAAAAAA

Interesting that you should go on the defensive at the mention of "positive pollyanna" ? You assumed that my post was directed toward you?
**"it doesn't get in the way of truth for me"**
A PP lives in no other reality but his dream world.

Another example of a PP.. makes up things to fit the dream world view.

Please show me where I stated as you say..
**"As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations."**
In fact I would never say such a thing because I believe that all NRL contracts are written "commercial in confidence."
Which is why I don't believe any of the claims made by those who are in the so called know.

Here's what I actually stated.. **"We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing."**

Now I'm not asking for Justin Pascoe to have the courage of Don Quixote nor even have the same level of conviction or penchant for bold and ambitious goals as Benny Gale, but for gods sake.. give us something?
A true leader will have a vision..
**what is our vision?**
A true leader will inspire others to share that vision.. and not limit that sharing to an inner circle.
**where are we going?**
A true leader will know the direction..
**how are we going to get there?**
A true leader will negotiate anything..
I could go on, but I would be more than happy with that.
Put it out there Justin and go for it mate!
If you fall over get up and keep going, you'll have the fans on your side. JUST DO IT!!!

Grant Mayer anyone ...his job isn't to win over fans ..and he will just end up with egg on his face

Panic if you haven't heard something by the 2nd of November ..unless as i said he is in lockdown with the SOO camp that could be the issue as well ...

No he's not there to win over fans but that's all he's done. The club and the roster is the same as when he turned up.

Ok......

So there are only two players left from when he turned up, Brooks & Nofo. None of the current coaching staff were here when Pascoe turned up. Simon Dwyer, is the only remaining member of the football department that was present when he arrived. He created a new position Head of Performance last year to strengthen the football department, added the role of NRL Performance coach last year. He has added the Roosters and Melbourne recruitment managers to the club last year.

So I guess you could say that the club and the roster is the same as when he turned up other than everyone in the who club is gone and been replaced, new positions created...totally the same except everything and everyone different. Unless you meant Brooksy and Nofo are still there?

Dont let these inconvenient facts spoil a narrative though....as you were.

i didnt say that lol ......

No i did. The quality of the club and roster is the same. Nuffies for nuffies isn't improving.

Yeah, its a football team. I'd settle for winning football games.

Were you a Wests or Balmain guy pre merge?

It’s a football team without leadership.
The kind of leadership shown by the Richmond Tigers CEO, who has the admiration of everyone in the country.
Ok I’ll find a box .
Edited with respect.

No it doesnt, it speaks to how much interest I have in the administrators in those teams.
***Why should we get hung up on what other teams are doing anyway?*** I'm more interested in WT direction. I actually knew 2. Furner and Solly (only because of the noise of Richo leaving.)

Because they are successful.

IT is not the role of a CEO to win the support of the fans. He has to communicate within the organisation. None of the CEO's above talk outside of the organisation. When you start hearing from the CEO, the organisation is in trouble.

See what others are doing then copy them? Me too kinda behaviour?

Exactly. Like win football games, make the 8, make the 4, win a comp. THat kind of behaviour.

Sorry can’t agree.
Not talking about winning the support of fans, talking about winning the admiration of the country.

Yeah, its a football team. I'd settle for winning football games.

My problem is when I try thinking outside the box I have trouble finding the box, but thanks for showing me. ?.

Were you a Wests or Balmain guy pre merge?

Do you remember.....Alan Jones?

Be careful what you wish for.

What’s yer point?

Made it pretty clearly. We dont need Alan Jones or Winston Churchill as our CEO. I dont see any need for our CEO to "win the country". Its a football team.

It’s a football team without leadership.
The kind of leadership shown by the Richmond Tigers CEO, who has the admiration of everyone in the country.
Ok I’ll find a box .
Edited with respect.

He and the coaching staff turned it around ..they were the laughing stock like us and Gale and Hardwick probably were down to the last chance Saloon

Why do you keep making this about you? Why do you keep saying whether you are in a box or not? What does any of this discussion have to do with you? Do you just like telling us over and over that you think outside the box?

So you would like leadership like the Richmond Tigers CEO?
"See what others are doing then copy them? Me too kinda behaviour?"

That makes sense to me, he and they have been successful. Why would that be different to emulating the leadership of The Storms, Roosters, Souffs, Canberra as I suggested earlier and you had a go at me for "me too kinda behaviour"?

If we emulate Richmond Tigers leadership that is brave and "thinking outside the box" (bit like yourself, so special).

If we emulate the leadership of the two most successful Rugbeh Leeg clubs this decade that is "me too kinda behaviour".

Gotcha......special one.

At least we have some on field leadership on the way. I think Jimmy will be our new captain. I’d say that’s why we had to get rid of Benji.
