I can guarantee you that I'm not panicking. I'll be completely fine waiting until the end of next season prior to getting worked up about these signings.

We can seemingly offer him just as good money, maybe a little worse, but what’s swaying his decision? His past experiences at the club? Not a fan of Madge? Thinks our club is crap? We need to figure out why someone like him wouldn’t want to be here and fix it. The obvious answer is our results but problem is we can’t get results unless we sign better players ?
Money pure and simple.
Or
Bulldogs are selling him a bright future with the money they are prepared to spend to achieve premiership success. Their new sponsor is splashing cash.
We can sell the pics of a centre of excellence and juniors coming through. No instant success.will take time.
The word is Dogs have offered us DWZ heavily subsidised. Tigers won’t bite until Fox makes a call. Madge believes he can get back to a rep level fullback. It’s the smart play although he was bad last year.

"We really can’t afford to let the opportunity slide by".
At this point, dragging on for so long - I think we can.
He's not a Teddy, Keary or Munster.
He is just a fast winger.

Wests Tigers have a four-year deal on the table, but he won't be released unless a suitable replacement is secured. Given the Tigers don't have a player they are willing to offer in return, Canterbury and South Sydney could be options for Addo-Carr, particularly given Reimus Smith is a player the Bulldogs want to trade.‘
***Our refusal to trade anyone*** might just cost us his signature. Not sure we’re in the position to play hardball
How do you know we refused? How do you know if Nofo or Talau even want to go to COVID city?

Yes this is certainly the most logical way of looking at the JAC signing. Looking at those teams rosters and where they need strengthening, the Bulldogs really need to concentrate on buying decent halves and a hooker. They’d be mad to throw all their money at JAC and have nothing left to sign players in those key positions. If they go into next season with the same halves and hooker then having JAC in the backline won’t make a squat of difference and can kiss all their hopes goodbye. Surely Barrett, as a former half, can see this.
JAC is not what they need, they’ve already bought another SOO winger in Cotric and I think Meaney does a pretty good job for them at fullback. Not to mention if DWZ got back to his best he would be great! I don’t know what has happened to him actually, he started out great when he first signed with them, perhaps he is just not happy there.
Souths simply do not need another back, they are already stacked with quality backs and if JAC went there he would be competing with his mate Mitchell for the fullback spot, which is just ridiculous really since they only just courted Mitchell to play in that spot last year! Before his injury he certainly showed signs that he would become a very good fullback, imo and if he is injured long term fullback can be well and truly covered by either Allen or Johnston.
The Tigers are really the only team of those 3 that need JAC and can hand him the fullback role for him to make his own, no questions asked. I believe we are probably the ones with the best offer on the table also. So, logically JAC to us is a no brainer really, but logic doesn’t account for a person’s heart or emotions and if JAC ‘s heart isn’t in playing for us, then logic goes out the window and he signs elsewhere. What can ya do?
There is also the possibility I guess of another Sydney club coming out of left field and snaring his signature under the noses of all us, who knows?
Has anyone heard of any other club which has tabled an offer to JAC? Does anyone find that odd? I mean, given the quality of player he is?
From memory WT were the only club to table an offer to Mitchell. I’m not drawing any conclusion here, just eluding to a pattern of similarity.
That's the reason I think we got him. We are the ONLY club whe have officially tabled him an offer. The Dogs with JAC are all rumours. Sooooo . . . .

Well looks like the Info is spot on that there is a 4 year deal on the table but the WT won't release a player that the storm require. Storm playing hard ball but that does not surprise anyone suppose that's why there an elite club.
I have no issue with the WT playing hard ball back...
Only Nofo or Talua an option and really if both players don't want to leave that's there choice, rather have players that are here already and want to stay.

Well my view is that Madge has said firm NO to Melbourne cherry picks from our ranks. I also think that Madge being a straight shooter has outlined his plan for the player advising that there are no guarantees for fullback gig.
So if Melbourne don’t get like for like (and there’s unlikely a player out there that fits that bil) and JAC is willing to spend another year down South ..... then 2022 season is on drawing board for him ...... and then he could end up anywhere.
