I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

Please explain how you come to that conclusion, with actual verifiable information.

He gave us a heads of agreement apparently, ready to come here all we needed to do was make a deal with Melbourne. We refuse, he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. It’s us that refused to play ball

We just did what the Storm and Roosters have been doing for years. Held our ground.

We offerer him the fullback spot. If hes not interested than so be it.

He was interested?!!!!! We couldn’t get the deal done? Roosters are ruthless they would’ve given Melbourne a rookie if they wanted JAC. Look what they did to Pearce and Flanagan

If he was interested he would have signed mate, simple.

Erm he needs a release champ. Pretty simple buddy. He can’t sign when he’s contracted ?

If Melbourne wanted Lucy or Doueihi, you'd let them go for a winger?

They want an outside back. I wouldn’t be against giving them Doueihi, it would be a massive upgrade.

If they want an outside back give them Russell Packer. He’s no slower than the vast majority of our backs and just as sound laterally when defending. Kill two birds with one stone.

Why aren’t you head of football Best idea I’ve heard in months

10 metres out no winger will stop big Russ one on one ?

That’s it. Sell him as a big body with aggression that can run a great line (albeit a decoy).

Sure you can until it’s announced or you hear it from the horses mouth. The media’s job is to create conflict and anxiety to generate revenue. Nothing else.

We've finally grown a set

Body language lol.

I agree, Im more confident after watching that.

Thing is if i recall correctly Fitler didnt want players negotiating contracts in camp. I think he is just doing what his coach asked of him.

PS Fitler is the new moron of the game.

Most of these reports are from guys like Crawley who are doing their best to create stories to push the James Roberts Souths cover up into the shade.

We just need to stick to our guns and only sign players that we really need that strengthen our roster

Any discards from clubs that need cap space can just go to the scrap heap

We don't want them

You can't make someone sign who doesn't want to be here.

Deja Vu. What has Wests Tigers done to put him off? If its not the big money from Souths then what is it? By the way he is very uncommonly serious in that interview.

***We refuse,*** he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. ***It’s us that refused to play ball***

How do you know that? How do you know that Melbourne didnt say we want Nofo or Talua, Tigers said "No worries" and Nofo and Talau said "no thanks"?

How do you know they did? All reports are saying we refused a swap. Madge seemed pretty clear on that when asked about Nofa.

What reports? From the media? Who cares what the media reports. It’s 99.9% rubbish.

There’s a lot of rubbish but they also get plenty right. Just gotta know which journos are half decent. I don’t take it as gospel but you can’t just ignore it all

Sure you can until it’s announced or you hear it from the horses mouth. The media’s job is to create conflict and anxiety to generate revenue. Nothing else.

Each to their own. I know what journos have decent info and what ones are there to create drama. Admittedly majorly of them are the latter ?

That is valuable information, too valuable to keep to yourself.

Which ones have the decent info?

For tigers stuff? Chammas, Niclousi are the main ones. Weidler talks a lot of crap but when he says a deal is done he is normally decently accurate, he just likes to cause drama interviewing players and coaches and stuff lol
