Mansour will be a tiger.... he is well respected at the panthers. The way he was let go got a few upset. Will see more players from panthers move to tigers.

Tigers really need to not do something stupid and panic buy someone now

Like sign Mansour.

Expect an announcement by the close of business tomorrow.

oh god remember when we were in talks with Mannah.....good lord our management like a good panic

Whether it was Melbourne who denied JAC a release for a 2nd straight year or JAC convinced Melbourne to not release him so he wasn't locked on at WT next year one thing is for certain

It proves family comes last on the list of priorities to either Melbourne or JAC after what is now a laughable attempt by JAC to get back home on compassionate grounds

Flipside and saga continues!

Meeting actually went well. Tartak confirms to WT that they intend to sign but Storm won’t budge on a decent player swap.

Tigers stick to their guns and draft a plan to make Melbourne look heartless...

Tigers release a press statement pointing the blame completely at Melbourne for refusing to let JAC leave on compassionate grounds. Everyone knows it was “family reasons”....

Melbourne don’t want to look like tools and release Addo-Carr for ‘21....

Fastest man in league races into Concord....

Or am I totally tripping balls here?

Sorry @tigertye - you’re delusional.

We have dodged a bullet here. He does not want to come so better to know now.

For God’s sake - give our youth a go next year and buy up big for 2022. And that means avoid Mansour like the plague.

Agreed Thaiger. Give youth a go but I'm afraid we'll just see the same defensive mistakes being made by the same suspects we saw in 2020. Unless a really hard line is taken in 2021 to individuals improving their own defence it is going to be a long year.

Thanks everyone for confirming I was just tripping balls in my last post. It was just for laugh, I don’t actually believe anything I wrote. I’ll let go now and return to looking forward to missing out on our next big signing.

Mehhh, I’m not too disappointed. Could’ve definitely used him but don’t think he would have completely turned our club around

Absolutely no doubt we will get bashed in the media now for not being a “desirable club”

Hard to be critical when not seated at the negotiation table - HOWEVER - knowing what has transpired last time with LM and others and how fragile our reputation is - WHY offer anything in writing unless you know for a fact that it can be executed. It's like making an offer on someones house and signing a contract and the owner needs to get their partner to sign as well. Why sign a contract unless you know for a fact that the other side is going to sign. Makes us look very bad - doesn't matter how you cut it - If Josh wanted to come to us Melbourne would've released him somehow - Josh probably told them "Dont release me" - end of story. Again only from my dealings with the club, they just dont know how to negotiate like the good teams. Take Matterson at Parra for example - if we release him why wouldn't we ask for the same thing in writing if one of their players want a release to us, that way we would've got Stefano this year - in fact I would've made Parra give us two names to release to us if they want - don't forget they wanted Matts from us - we didn't have to do anything. Unfortunately we just get outplayed by all the teams in roster management negotiation. Also take Mbye for example - we pay him top dollars on a 4.5 yr contract , WHEN the bulldogs needed to shed players , then Cronulla being smarter than us take Woods of the Dogs at the eleventh hour and get him for peanuts. We just don't have any real business people inside the club. Lee is ok but he's a lawyer and yes he is very successful lawyer and businessman, and he seems like a nice guy, dont get me wrong, but he's not a Killer...I know plenty of lawyers and I've met people like Lee.... if he was a Killer he would never had come out and said "WE WANT LATRELL ... OR I CALLED JAC ON THE PHONE" - you never put your chin out unless you're sure you're gonna execute. Next person we try and sign we should say "You sign the contract with the numbers we are discussing and I'll take it to the board to get it signed "- then all we have to do is sign it - this happens all the time in business contract dealings. Damn frustrated like all of you.

Offical Wests Tigers statement on Josh Addo-Carr

Wests TigersThu 12 Nov 2020, 06:54 PM
Wests Tigers have released the following media statement as there has been much speculation and reporting concerning Josh Addo-Carr and the club.

Addo-Carr is a player currently contracted to the Melbourne Storm for season 2021. Having asked for a release from his contract to return to Sydney on compassionate grounds, Wests Tigers — with permission of the Melbourne Storm — entered into discussions with Josh.

This resulted in an execution of a Heads of Agreement which provided for Addo-Carr joining Wests Tigers in 2021. This agreement was only activated upon the release of Addo-Carr from his current playing contract.

Wests Tigers have tonight been advised by the Melbourne Storm that Addo-Carr will not be granted a release.

Wests Tigers recognise and respect the current contractual arrangements in place between Josh Addo-Carr and Melbourne, and would not seek to interfere in same.

As of day 83 the JAC watch is terminated.

We thank you for your services solider

I hope this doesn’t turn our attention to Mansour. All we would be doing is helping the panthers clear salary cap space to lock the big ones they want. Say no to mansour and throw $800k at Crichton to push his price up in the market.

maybe we already have landed our next big signing with one of these juniors we've now got? Time to be optimistic with our youth because our current offerings to ready made rep stars is falling flat. Time to make a build it within mentality our club personality.

We are a joke. I've been a long time supporter of Pascoe, but I think he has to now go. This has happened now twice where signing information has been made public (albeit, by our chair) and then we haven't been able to land the deal.

If we had locked in a swap before this, we would have JAC here next year. It's obvious Madge has enough pull to bring them to the table, but something is happening during negotiations where players are pulling away.

We need a change.

No more Sonny and Cher on the alarm clock tomorrow morning then Mike? Hallelujah.

Sonny and Cher? Geez give me more credit than that please. I have eclectic tastes but that is going too far.

I can’t say I know much about Mansour as I don’t follow the Panthers, but I think you are under estimating the value of what experienced players have on the younger players.
If in fact he is coming, he may be a depth signing or play well enough to force his way into the top 13, who knows?

No, Id say the majority of the fans DID NOT want to swap Nofo or Talua to buy a winger.

Hang Pascoe for genuine issues not this one.

We finally showed some back bone!

Mansour would be a spectacular failure.

JAC is a dog.

Pascoe and co are useless. The deal was there to be done, we stalled and stalled and now miss out. Pathetic and embarassing.

Big pressure on Talau to play origin next year

The way the club have allowed this to played out in the media is beyond a shambles. Honest to God when are we going to do something, anything right.
