Mansour would be a spectacular failure.

JAC is a dog.

Pascoe and co are useless. The deal was there to be done, we stalled and stalled and now miss out. Pathetic and embarassing.

Big pressure on Talau to play origin next year

You sure it wasn’t JAC that stalled and stalled?

The way the club have allowed this to played out in the media is beyond a shambles. Honest to God when are we going to do something, anything right.

Lol then to announce there is no announcement. Has that ever happened? Seriously we are a disaster.

Anyway said this the moment JAC asked for a release, he's going to Souths.

Josh Mansour would block the progression of one of our young outside backs. If we want to be a development club, we need to give the juniors a chance. The club has backed Maguire apparently with a new contract, now he needs to back our youth and not sign old, slow rejects.

Mansour will be a tiger.... he is well respected at the panthers. The way he was let go got a few upset. Will see more players from panthers move to tigers.

No Thanks - to the Old Mens home at the Dogs for him.

We are a joke. I've been a long time supporter of Pascoe, but I think he has to now go. This has happened now twice where signing information has been made public (albeit, by our chair) and then we haven't been able to land the deal.

If we had locked in a swap before this, we would have JAC here next year. It's obvious Madge has enough pull to bring them to the table, but something is happening during negotiations where players are pulling away.

We need a change.

No, Id say the majority of the fans DID NOT want to swap Nofo or Talua to buy a winger.

Hang Pascoe for genuine issues not this one.

We finally showed some back bone!

Agree with all the above. Why would we swap any of our good players? It would have made no sense. Nofa was our best player last year and talua showed enough to give us hope he will be a star in the making.

JACs looks like a fool here, with family now not so important to him.

Whats happening is they are Flogs.

Using us to get what they want - but it's Pascoe's fault....Yeah! right.

the only available/ realistic upgrade for our backs would've been JAC

Now he's off the table time to back our kids. AJ, talau Laurie (when he comes) will be our future....

If we are to trust the statement released by our club the only real "fool" is the Melbourne Storm.

It was suggested today that JAC would join us in 2021 if they release him.

At this stage they refuse to unless they steal one of our good players in the process.

Pressure on the Storm here.

We played hard ball and are calling their bluff.

I disagree on Talau. If we were given a scenario today to swap JAC and Talau we would be absolutely insane not to do it.

I’m yet to see anything from Talau to suggest he’ll be even half the player JAC is. And JAC has just started hitting a new level. I hope Talau comes on but it’s just hope at this stage. It wouldn’t shock me if he’s not even playing NRL in 3 years.

Tell you what's what from all of this - Madge is a man of honour - because with each signing the club misses out on also hurts his chances too - if he went to Canterbury or St George he would have much better success getting the players he wants - I know he wouldn't get all the ones he wanted bc he is seen as a hard ass - but he would get more than he would staying with us - why he actually didn't ask his manager to find him another job is beyond me and the only thing I can think of is He is a man of integrity - alot of others who had won two premierships would've bailed right now - like Barret did to Manly - and look at that Barret goes to the Dogs who are worse than us but he is getting alot of the players he wants bc the Bulldogs Club knows how to be shrewd and cut throat. As I said I've dealt with Justin Pascoe - lovely guy - but not a killer. And that's why we are being killed all over the park in the admin department

No. Why would we do a deal that left a gaping hole for them to wriggle out of?? and why did everything turn sour?? This does not happen to other clubs. We're doing something wrong, that's for sure.

Is that the club putting a positive spin on it? Like “He was going to come, but it’s Melbourne’s fault for not releasing him”. That angle falls flat when you just announce his signing for 2022 first.

Are we going to put out statements for every missed target now? Talk about amateur hour.

I disagree with this. The club have handled themselves as well as they can. It sounds like we didn't offer crazy money, we got him to sign a contract that is legally binding and we kept it reasonably quiet. They've also released an official announcement pretty quickly just to put the situation into prespective.

I think the club announcement about staying at Storm is a good thing to shut the media down a little and give the facts. We have done the right thing and want to show where we stand and not let the media right us off again. If there didn't release this the media would be all over us again and we all know that.
Not happy about it but there is nothing we can do but 1 thing that does make me smile a little is the fact he has to stay on melb for another year and cannot go to the Souths / Dogs or where ever he wants to go.. Karma

Doesn’t sound like they were given a chance to offer ridiculous money. The club is a joke

Offical Wests Tigers statement on Josh Addo-Carr

Wests TigersThu 12 Nov 2020, 06:54 PM
Wests Tigers have released the following media statement as there has been much speculation and reporting concerning Josh Addo-Carr and the club.

Addo-Carr is a player currently contracted to the Melbourne Storm for season 2021. Having asked for a release from his contract to return to Sydney on compassionate grounds, Wests Tigers — with permission of the Melbourne Storm — entered into discussions with Josh.

This resulted in an execution of a Heads of Agreement which provided for Addo-Carr joining Wests Tigers in 2021. This agreement was only activated upon the release of Addo-Carr from his current playing contract.

Wests Tigers have tonight been advised by the Melbourne Storm that Addo-Carr will not be granted a release.

Wests Tigers recognise and respect the current contractual arrangements in place between Josh Addo-Carr and Melbourne, and would not seek to interfere in same.

https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2020/11/12/wests-tigers-statement-on-josh-addo-carr/

As of day 83 the JAC watch is terminated.

Never has so much yet absolutely nothing happened in 83 days.

Could not agree more.

You’ve both quickly forgotten the Mitchell saga last year? Pretty sure that was even longer than 83 days.

Id be worried he would become a super star in the Storm system and we would look even stupider.

Whats more we need to stand for something, and that something needs to be providing pathways to our good young players. Letting them develop and become something at this club.
