After 117 days the JAC watch officially comes to an end with no future recruitment to the Wests Tigers possible.

Not true, he will be 30 when his Dogs deal runs out, we will be a red hot chance of offering him that 4 year mega deal he knocked back this time

Hahahahaha probably and at $1m pension money a season

I for one am disappointed that we missed out on JAC a player of his ability whould have been most welcome.
But I’m even more disappointed and concerned that he whould go to the dogs rather than tigers,it can’t just be money that we keep missing out on high profile players.I think the question needs to be asked why

Can you imagine it.

Thank god that's over.

Too much money to pay for a winger, I'd rather keep Nofa for a little more than half the price of JAC.

Nofo was apparently asking 685 or something ridiculous. Canterbury got JAC to move from Melbourne for say 550k per season. I bet we are paying Nofo more than 300k per year.

You can ask the question but how are you going to get the answer. Seriously who could tell you this honestly.

JAC signing with the Bulldogs for what appears less than our offer is quite frankly embarrassing for us, we have a bad stench when it comes to top line players

I don't think we really know that

The Dogs offer is always reported very vaguely, like more than $500,000

Is that $500,001 or $650,000

Either way he didn't seem respectful in his dealings with us and we moved on which feels somehow appropriate

Always possible we have something big in the pipeline which contributed to this moving on

Phil - The dogs. He signed that heads of agreement and was over the line. Dogs came in late with big money, so he went back to the storm requesting to see out his contract so he could take up the Dogs deal.

Now same thing is happening to them with Cheese. All but done, but now other clubs coming in hard, after his manager advised he was on the market

thing is dogs are apparently offering the same deal we did.. Or did they offer something crazy like 800k to get himn??

Done and dusted.
Anything over $500k for a winger is overs as far as I’m concerned.
Bulldogs have now a high percentage of their cap invested in their recent purchases so it will be interesting how they manage things from this point on.

We will probably never know but the new pricing strategy (for want of a better word) gives us a price/value of a player and we chose not to go above it, I would have liked him here but not to be so we move on, there are always others.
Will be interesting how the dogs will go in 22, hopefully we are ahead of them.

500k a year is a bargain. It's regrettable that we opted to not to beat that assume JAC's decision between us and the Dogs was purely driven by money.

I think there's a fairly safe bet his manager saw what they are paying Cotric and insisted on more. He'll be on a bucketload there.

They’re paying him a lot more than 550k. Closer to 800k.

Those in the know were suggesting Nofa would re-sign for 400k odd. Not much more than half.

If you think JAC went to anyone other than the highest bidder then I can’t help you.

You maybe disappointed we didnt get him,I wasnt,he used compassionate grounds to get to Sydney,we were a stepping stone for him while Dogs offered plenty more...He also left here on bad terms,so it was inevitable that he was only using us to get where HE wants to be...

TigerWest agree with what you’re saying we do move on still doesn’t explain why we miss out on this type of player.
I don’t give a ? how dogs or any other club goes next season I just want tigers to make the 8
