Jackson Hastings #251

Not that we need another headache..and apologies if it's been covered elsewhere...but I heard on 9 today that he is coming back but to play at lock, to give Brooks more room to steer the team??? and it has already raised eyebrows internally...But knowing this current club, I really shouldn't be surprised...

Not that JH is going to be the savior in any case...

That's not the worst move. We need more attacking options. I think Brooks has been brutally bad, but he at least has the potential with some speed and elusiveness if he can stop taking painfully bad options EVERY time.

The problem with our attack is the speed of play from out of the ruck.
I would play Jackson at 9 for 20 minutes and then move him to lock.
Liddle can then capitalise on coming on against tired defenders and a changed bench rotation.
I think what Jackson does so well is play all game in and around the ruck. He either gets in to dummyhalf and scoot or plays quickly off the back of that.
It would be a unique way to play but might be the way forward for us.
Essentially we would be playing with a middle field halfback and two kicking five eights either side of the field.

The other issue is Joffa’s form. He has been getting through so much work at Lock but starting Hastings in the 9 will make this a non issue.

Sounds about right...
🤦‍♂️

The only thing that could really make this worse is news breaks we are extending Brooks until 2026 or something. 🚮

I don't think he is capable of making the right decisions. Probably the lowest IQ of any halfback I've seen.
