Liddle is in the Cook type model, fast and usually good service from dummy half. Not the Cameron Smith type player, tempo and game controller. Please people compare apples with apples.
I believe as stated before his passing and timing will improve this year, as he gets more used to his guns. If Madge learns how to use his bench more effectively?!?!?!

I'm sorry, he's not a candle on Cook for speed and Lids service is his biggest weakness (bigger weakness than his stamina)


Based on what?? Did u watch Cook when he played for the dogs?? I bet u didn’t, I did and he was very similar to liddle, except liddle had a better passing game! Cook was erratic, inconsistent and only came on for short bursts. Was considered a one trick pony, being his speed! He was lucky to get twenty minute a game.
Don’t come on here claiming to know everything about cook. Do u think he was a state of origin player, out of the rapper?

Hahaha I have known Damien since he was a kid and raced him and his brother in surf lifesaving. So yes I followed his career with interest and he was criminally underused by Des, behind Lichaa who was terrible.

Also what I said with regards to the comparison comment was he doesn't hold a candle to Cook for speed, which is factually correct. Go and check the Telstra tracker data from throughout the season. Liddle is quick off the mark but after a short distance he's running in quicksand, Cook is legitimately fast


Again, wasn’t comparing time checks! Just saying they are similar styles of players. Not exactly the same speed, just more speed orientated! Read my posts more thoroughly, what has the great Simpkin shown that excites you haters so much?? Crashing over from dummy half to poor defence in reserve grade or throwing flat balls to big forwards a couple of meters from the line?? He may come good in time, but his body is tiny and he’s a couple of years off being ready for the grind! As stated by several others here, liddle is the best hooker in our squad currently. Just needs to be used better with the bench as Cook was at the start of his career! On for 30 minutes then of for 20-30 back in for the last 20-30! Not rocket science, but Madge is clueless with bench rotations.
Just give him the chance to get used to his bigger frame and his passing will improve this season.
I am just hoping that the attacking coach will be in charge of the bench rotation this year, not Cayless as he is useless, **roosters don’t let good coaches just leave if they’re any good.**

Liddle absolutely brains them in Ressies, and He's far inferior to Simpkin.

Liddle by far outplayed Simpkin in First Grade, And Reserve Grade.... Hands down
That might not always be the case, But If we're playing in the park tomorrow and I'm picking one or the other,
I'm picking Liddle... If I'm looking to win of course.

As I have stated neither was Cook, he came if the bench for years, even recently Farah was coming of the bench for him, and he is the Australian hooker!
Yet don’t let me get in the way of u death riding liddle, u seem to excell at it. Or revel in it, not quite sure.
Anyway I can’t tell u 100% he will be a great 80 minute player, time will tell. What I can tell u is he is the best hooker at the club at the moment. Have u seriously seen the shoulders on Simpkin? And u want him to be the starting hooker?? Wasn’t he injured late last season with a shoulder problem? Not ready physically or mentally in my opinion. I hope the club looks after him better than they did liddle, and take their time.
I hope Simpkin turns out to be the player some people think he will be. But I have seen more in liddle at the same age as Simpkin is now.
I remember when liddle was playing in the 20s and was the best hooker in that comp, he played up against the cheese at the cowboys in one game, and the cheese owned him that day. But that was based in physicality, liddle always had him for skills.

Not to mention many off the bench (Probably behind class hookers like Dene Halatau, Matt McIlwrick or Elijah Taylor)

Here's a stat (That hasn't been mentioned yet) for all the brain surgeons on this forum, Prior to 2021 Liddle has started at No 9 - **10 TIMES IN HIS CAREER** TEN!!
Over 5 years in between plenty of Injuries... TEN!!
Most in a very ordinary side...

Off the back off 6 Games last year, And a major injury prior to that.
- I'm prepared to give the Kid the benefit of the doubt.
