It was Wests Tigers Podcast about two thirds in ..Joel said it… pretty much all the information they said about it if I have mentioned above … I think they were insinuating to take it with a grain of salt

As far as Bula and other signings are concerned , I reckon we first need to sign up Makasini to an extended contract at fair money , and he wants to play for WT’s ; Makasini’s a winger, he’s playing out of position at the moment in the centres and trying his hardest every game there. I keep thinking of the way he ran over the top of Dylan Edwards in the trial when he was playing on the wing, most of us on the forum were raving about him after that trial game. The bloke could be anything !! Still only 18, was in high school last year!! Let’s not forget this. That’s the bloke who should be our priority!! You build a team around these young players!! I’m sure forum members would be very interested in Jye Gray if he was available, he was a standout in the game against us the other week,but he has committed to Souths ( and really wants to play for Rabbitohs which is exactly what we want with our players, wanting to play for us!!) on an extended contract on less money than Bula’s manager wants from us. Perspective is everything here. Bula isn’t worth 900k,,the bloke’s defence is average at best, just like Stefano wasn’t worth the silly money being thrown around at the time from our club, we landed a much better call round player in Terrell May!. Benji will make the right moves here, he’s really settling into his role; I can’t wait to see. Taylan May back in the centres and Makasini back to his best position at winger. MoneyBall is a good read, we can’t afford to be mucked around by Isaac Moses here pushing silly figures at our club.

Agree that we need to sign him on a long term deal asap, however he's not a winger, despite his brilliant pre-season form on the wing. He will be a devastating centre in the mould of a Meninga, Lawrence, or even Renouf.

The elephant in the room for us is Bula and his current manager.

Well I think Bula is at 700k at the moment, agreed not 900k.

Jock Madden has been covering and where there was a gap on our wing I saw him fly across and cover. Ok try was still scored, but impressive for a halfback.
The guy plays a little like Ben Kimmorley or Mitchell Pearce...In everything... Which at a club level is great.

Ill say it again, if we have to choose and we do have to choose. I would be ready to offer Makasini Bula's 900k for 4 years.

Makasini has brought over 900k of value to the team in only a few games.

Your current assessment of Makasini in you final sentence, I feel is a little over the top at this stage.

I have no doubts that in time the kid will be good but on current output you are way off.

Just we have approx 11m cap (I may be off).

We have Luai signed for 1.2, Jock + AD at around 700, Several Fainu's I think Sione was 500k and Samuela will be 700k... KPP 600-700k, Terrell May, etc.

Do we have the cap room to sign both Bula and Makasini if Makasini turns out to be the gun we expect him to be?

900k is market price for Bula, I suspect his actual value is 700-800. I just don't see how we can offer him that and keep the funds for our talent coming through.

For once our "talent" is IMHO worth keeping.

I reckon Seyfarth is a chance at a release. Not playing much footy atm and if Sukkar keeps developing there will be comp for his spot. I think he's on more coin than you'd think and Perth and PNG are going to need to sign someone.

Comparison purposes …Drinkwater being talked up as $1million plus a year player now …

Let’s be honest ..both him and Bula are mid level , not elite fullbacks …that’s what you pay these days… a number of desperate clubs out there now pushing up the prices ..

The Cap will go up and so will either Bula's contract or Issac Moses's demands.

Sure ordinary managers will either leave the situation alone, or quietly talk with the club or just not botch the contract in the first place... i.e.
"We want 9.5% of the total cap which is 900k per year at the moment".

Issac, it will be screaming, whinging and dramas. He will try to punt Bula and we do it all again.

No Moses, no dramaz.
