Jahream Bula #269

I like Bula but, I agree with you, I can't see 900 k to 1 mil worth of value in him. To me, he doesn't run with enough commitment and physicality, doesn't get involved enough and often throws wayward passes when trying to set up his supports. I also wonder, whether we're seeing his ceiling already which is only worth 600k to be honest. Does he lack confidence?
I agree that what we see now is his ceiling.
It has taken 3 years of hope........ but his acceleration and tackle breaking ability have plateaued.
This is as good as it gets.

Sitting behind the posts watching the game live, his communication in defence was excellent. Kept our line very organised all game long

Don't know how he can be criticised. Saved a try, scored one, didn't make a mistake, he's looking better every week. Seems like he always takes a little bit to warm into seasons

People often forget about defensive structures and importance a fullback has on this.

If a deal does not get done, what about Will Kennedy? Would nearly get the same output for 500-600k a year
IMO I think Ken̈nedy is playing better than Bula. At half price!
Is it Luai or Doueihi or does the coach need to stress this flaw in our attack to these players to get it sorted.
Some on here say Bula has a voice for defence positioning?
Well use that voice for attack as well. Let Doueihi and Luai know if they have stuffed up. Call for the ball. It needs to be rectified ASAP. Explain to Benji the dilemma.

If he left I would raid the Fins

Sign Trai Fuller until the end of next year and then Hamiso for 28' onwards

Otherwise, Fuller until the end of next year before Attard comes in 28'

So the solution is to offer more money to a player that's never played FB before?
The answer is certainly not paying a contract value that is only set aside for elite match winners to someone who is not an elite match winner, but by not being serious about signing an elite match winner, we will now be forced to make do with what we have as nobody else is available.

Doesn’t that happen any way because we have to pay 95% of the cap?

I'm yet to see Purdue do any sort of elite match winning things for the Cowboys either.
