I think that's why every time I think of Bula it's:

Good, not great.

as people say: Drinkwater, Ponga, Walsh, RTS, Teddy, Turbo... all if it's their day can win a game for your team.

Bula isn't making mistakes. Solid in fullback when you really want a spark back there. That said, we are winning games.

I really don't want to disturb our team... Bula though hasn't shown so far that he is a fullback to take us to a top 4 position.

Case in point in the souffs game, Bula had a good chance to score a match winner and got out leaped by Jye Gray lol.

It’s moments like that which separate him from the elite. I still think he is the perfect fit for our team but he really should be winning those moments

Bit rough mate. He’s nabbed a few tries like that in his career. No player times that leap perfectly every time.

The whole game seems to not understand how much of a lottery a kick contest is. It happens at real speed, not in slow motion.

That's what kinda disappoints me in him.

He is edging for a better contract. OK, where is the performance to justify this.

At least with Galvin it would usually correspond with a 'good' game (albeit one we would loose, but with Galvin racking up stats.. in part due to him being a ball hog).

Us vs the knights will be a good test of Bula. No Ponga, so Fullback should be a position we have an advantage on. If Fletcher Hunt and the mullet crew outplay Bula then I think we have an answer.

No Kalyn, No Best, No Dylan.
2026 seems like a wild competition and I don't get why the knights are doing so good. With the people they have out we should win this.

Ofcourse Dom Young and Marzhew are A grade Wingers and Skelton/Tavana will be tested. Yet we should keep people from getting the ball out.

I like the way young fletcher hunt plays , he runs hard , got good hands and can defend, he would be a ideal pick up if Bula does a runner , and at a good price

Except for that Newcastle try at the end where he was beaten in the air by Hunt but for 75 minutes I thought he had a solid game, not spectacular by any means but he's getting better, not stagnant.

Not saying it’s easy but he’s an elite athlete looking at 900k. Hes also shown that he can snavel the hard ones. Grey pinched one off him in the souths game and he’s a foot shorter.
