Jamal Idris joins Wests Tigers...Official...

Ill reserve my judgment. This has the makings of being a huge flop…...

But ill be very happy indeed if I am wrong, very happy!

Blair was a huge flop because we paid so much for him.
If Idris is a flop it's not going to effect of cap, so we haven't got much to loose.
Sounds like he has got his head right.
Hopefully the body is agile enough in defence. We know he likes the contact.
Good signing by the WTs.

True, absolutely. But it does dent our reputation if it goes wrong. We cant afford to have the reputation that we sign past it pretenders. Definitely harms our chances of attracting better options if thats our reputation.

Good signing. Very pleased and only positive for the team and the club. I like what I see of his frame at present. Does not appear to be carrying extra weight which is a plus.

I'm happy it's now finally official and Jamal can get down to some serious pre-season training.

Happy to see the signing confirmed and happy to see that Taylor him in mind as an outside back option. We've needed to improve the centres for a few years now (since Lawrence and Ayshford were in form really) and Idris at least has the potential to be really good there.

Brilliant signing - Sure fire sign that shows we aren't quite the basket case we think we are.

Glad to know we haven't thrown overs at him.

Like most of you I'm more curious than anything as to where the big unit will play.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Jason Taylor said that ….

“He brings a lot of size and strength to our outside backs which is something that we identified that needed to be improved on for the coming year.

Play him on the Left pushing Simona outside him on the Wing… Would be a devastating combination!

It would be but I don't think we can afford to go into next season with the right hand side unchanged…

There is talk Naquiama could be off to Blighty

Great signing. We lack big bodies all over the park, I'd put him outside of Moses and tell him smash everyone in defence and attack.

Thx sabre, indeed a good intrview.

Im happy, he will be ok and even better for marketing

I think all of us are pleased at this signing.

We all hope he has turned it around, for himself and the Wests Tigers I'm sure.

Welcome Jamal to the Mighty Tigers!!!!

If i was signing him i'd have signed him for a year with a year option in our favour with a financial incentive for the second year.

IMO Simona is one of the most underrated players in rugby league. You can also through in David N. Anyway, I think Simona is a great player and glad that he is not being chased around by other clubs. That will be a deadly backline with the likes of, Moses Tedesco Idris Nofauluma Simona
Challenges any backline in the comp
