Might of been the one JT feared to give him a punch at some stage. In all seriousness I think this isn't a bad idea if you can't turn up to the game on time ( more than once)your not serious about your career. Professionalism

PROFESSIONALISM ! It's become my favourite word lately. So long James. No hard feelings. Good luck and hope you get your life back on track. God i love all the new changes at our club

Your comment shows a high level of PROFESSIONALISM Tigermama

I'm sure one of the young forwards will step up next yr to cancel out his loss. Maybe thats why JT decided to move him on. Maybe he thinks better value can be gotten out of Dallas Graham.

I prefer the word accountability , but professionalism is a goodie also

As much potential as he may have, you can't have players with his poor attitude around the place so I am all for this move, whoever instigated it. Unfortunately bad habits can rub off on young, impressionable players but I wish him well and I hope that this problem child eventually becomes a responsible man.

The only reason why we the fans liked him was because he bent the line… He also did plenty of arm swing tackles and gave away silly penalties at times... Lodge is a far better prospect

Disappointing to see him go, one of my favourites big James Gavet. Loved it when Rabs called his name. Will be sad to see him as a Bronco. Goodluck big fella, rip and tear.

A front row rotation of Woods, Taupau, Ava and Galloway/Lodge is a strong one. Especially with Dallas Graham looking to make his mark next year.

im personally disappointed as i really enjoyed seeing him play for the tigers. but i think the days of the archetypal "wild thing" in sport are all but gone and clubs will no longer accept any influences that are either already, or potentially, destabilising - particularly with a young squad.
as for professionalism and attitude, well, im not 100% certain this is gavet's problem. i think first and foremost he needs to get his drinking sorted out because i think this could very well be the reason behind his perceived bad attitude.
his frank interview earlier this year leads me to think he could benefit from a big change of scenery in his life, and i hope this is the case. good luck james.

Professionalism
Wayne Bennett prides himself on being professional. With a strong defence belief.
I still believe that he had lot of potential (a rough Diamond.)
That's why Wayne Bennett is considered one of the best coaches going round.

Disappointed with this, seems like he's been tossed in the 'too hard' basket.

He's an absolute pig, and we need one. He'll thrive under Bennett, all the best to him, hope he can keep the piss under control.

Any comments on his attitude at training are off the mark. My understanding from a solid source is he trained the house down.

I met him last year and he was great with my kids. Very warm and humble.

Agree with being disappointed that his off field demons got the better of him. I won't judge him as none of us are perfect.

All the best James. You always played your heart out for us.

Best of luck to James for his future.
Who know's what he may be able to achieve.
If he doesn't fit with what wests-tigers need now then it's a good move by both parties.

It's a shame he didn't take pride in the fact he was given an opportunity to play in the NRL side and work hard to stay there,he like many others may be late maturing, for his sake I hope he realises his potential and developes it further under Bennett.

I do believe he can make a top grade player only he can choose his destiny…. :imp: :sign:

of the same opinion he was only a fringe 1st grader and played very few games, but if we keep letting players leave and lets face it there's not much out there to sign we are going to be behind the eight ball should we get injuries again. I really hope JT has 3-5 players up his u know what and he will unleash them shortly or we are going in with a very thin squad.

Surely if there's one position where we have ample depth it's prop? I mean, of course it's possible we'll have so many injuries there that we run out of depth but there's not many sides in the comp that could lose two or three props to injury and still run out something competitive in first grade.

I guess this means we're stuck with Galloway, though.

Gavet was never going to win you a comp, his form and discipline was all over the shop. You need players who get the job done more often than not. Some players you can turn them around and others just do not get it, I get the feeling Gavet will always be always hot and cold and nothing much in between and probably more cold than hot

I liked his style of play, but as others have noted he came with some deficiencies in defence and apparently in other areas. This one I can live with.

Supercoach

It's a possibility and I hope you're right. I hate to say he used to play for the Tigers !

I'm a bit disappointed to see him go. I was hoping to see him develop his game at the Tigers provided he could stay injury free. If he has problems in his life, I hope he can sort himself out and get his playing career back on track.

Dissappointed to see him go , i think has massive potential the Season that transpired for the Wests Tigers didn't help his cause , hard to judge when you don't know the ins and outs of the situation he had . The 1st 8 Rounds he was on fire . I'm hoping i won't be regretting our decision to let him go just like i wish we still had Ben Teo .
Best of Luck to him if anyone can guide him i'm sure Wayne Bennett is the man to do so.
