James Graham

Well when Lui retains the 7, as he should and will, then the only options for Moltzen are fullback (which he was pretty ordinary at), centre or 14.
So centre and 14 may well be between Ayshford & Moltzen

The only reason why I picked Ayshford at 14 is that Sheensy alwys said AYshford would end up in the back row so with him coming off the bench he can play as a reserve forward but if we get an injury out wide he can always shuffle out there to cover the injury.

Im suprised no one picked this up yet.

on the Tele NRL site **http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl** there is a poll that says

**Would you like to see England captain James Graham playing for Wests Tigers in 2011?**

Yes - 72.66% (1205 votes)
No - 27.34% (454 votes)
Total votes: 1659

My vote was - Yes

This adds some more fuel to the rumor

England hooker James Roby has abandoned any thought of moving to Australia after signing a new four-year contract with St Helens.
>
During the recent Four Nations Series Down Under, Roby had expressed an interest in joining an NRL club when his current deal ends at the end of next year, but Monday's announcement means he is now tied to Saints to the end of 2014.
>
The news is a major boost for new coach Royce Simmons, who will now be hoping Roby's team-mate James Graham decides to follow suit.
>
Graham, too, is out of contract in 12 months' time and is said to have received offers from no fewer than six NRL clubs, but has promised to speak to St Helens before making a final decision on his future.
>
Roby, who turned 25 a week ago, has been given Keiron Cunningham's number nine shirt for 2011 after playing understudy to the recently-retired club captain and is excited about the club's future.
>
"It was a big but ultimately easy decision for me," said Roby, a former Super League Man of Steel who has scored 58 tries in 203 appearances for his home-town club. "The Saints have been my only club and are only going to get stronger.
>
"We are moving to a fantastic new training facility this season and to a new stadium the next. We've got a top new coach in Royce Simmons and have made some great new signings for next season.
>
"The next few years will be more than exciting for the club and at a time when I should be reaching my own peak."
>
St Helens chairman Eamonn McManus added: "This is a big boost for us and a clear endorsement of the future of the club.
>
"James is one of the best players in the world and crucial to our continued success. Having come through our academy and been at the heart of our success in recent years, he represents all that we strive for and produce at the club."

nice, Roby eating up their cap with a big fat 5 year deal = better chance for us

I cannot come to terms with cameron smith getting voted best hooker in the world. roby is better than him and at the top of the list is our own robbie farah. Its like saying that Qatar deserve the World Cup.

yeah or russia deserved it over a spain/portugal bid and a uk bid….

Damn doooggiess… looks like we might have a fight on our hands.

Graham is also in the Bulldogs' sights. Greenberg and coach Kevin Moore held talks with the big Englishman last November - one of several clubs to host the St Helens prop while he was in Australia. The Bulldogs' hopes of putting in a competitive offer for Graham are likely to hinge on the future of captain Andrew Ryan. Ryan is off contract at the end of the season and could opt to follow former teammate Luke Patten to England to finish his career.

I think we're largely at a disadvantage here. Apparently the Dogs still have some room under the cap next year inclusive not inclusive of Ryan's contract. Toddy will be with us until end of 2012 and he is the only player likely to leave to chase ESL cash or retire. We still have to resign Lawrence, a possibility of having Lote on longer than 2012 and lay out a long term deal to both/either Moltzen and Lui.

I would imagine the Dogs are in the box seat unless we can secure Graham on a ridiculously back-loaded contract.

Something smells fishy in and around the Dogs recruitment.

Having said this we seem to have a ton of young Gun Forwards about to crack the top squad.

Definitely. This year alone they have signed Aiden Tolman, Greg Eastwood, Trent Hodkinson, Kris Keating, Frank Pritchard…

Definitely CB. I think if we manage to pull it off with us in the position you described, and with the Dogs on the hunt, it will be a major coop for the Tigers.

But we really don't need him. Our forward stocks are looking pretty damn promising.

To be fair, if they're paying Hodkinson and Keating more than $11 and a voucher for a free pie at the leagues club (combined) they've been ripped off.

Grow up mate - both went there on very good coin!

Keating was one of Parra's best in 2010!

Yeah but he look at who his competition was Red… Weren't too many performers in that side last year.

But you are right, they both went on good coin, Hodkinson is playing for $280K a year and I heard Keating went on something similar.

I concede on Keating's company CB - however I will say that Parra improved markedly when Anderson bit the bullet & "rested" Mortimer - thus allowing Keating to play 5/8th and provide some spark!

But his older brother is a busted!

I still can't fathom their reasoning on letting him go to be honest, he was by and far the best option in the halves, and it's not like they don't have the cash to keep him, they've got a large wad of cash still available this year.

Anyway, back on topic, I'd love to have Graham on, but not at the expense of the squad we have been building for the last three to five years. If we can somehow manage to sign him without losing any players I'm all for it…
