James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

If anything it's the media who have beat this up big time. They've had Teddy sign with 3 different clubs in the last 3 months. Can't say Teddy is indecisive because of media gossip. The things he has said are staying at Tigers is his preference, considering tempting offers from roosters & dogs, Cleary has made positive changes, Tigers mgt need to get the place in order, money is not important, he wants to play in a competitive team & finals footy, & he won't rush his decision.

Have I missed anything?

Forget about what the media have said. Based on Teddy's comments what do you think is going to happen?

I think something that has been lost is the $$$. Moses would be making much more money if they stayed - purely from his pint of view - unless he has decided he just wants to screw the WT just for the sake of it - vindictiveness over wehbe for example…...

To be fair to Tedesco I actually think he is close to the safest fullback in the NRL defensively. Some of his tackles over the years have been ridiculously good. He has missed a few the last couple of weeks but generally he is fantastic.

To the others…Tedesco is gone. He is lying through his teeth in the media. He may not have officially signed but he has agreed. If he was highly considering the Tigers offer he would have responded to the deadline in someway , to at least state his position. Not ignore it.

No actually his missed tackle rate is quite bad, bottom 6 for fullbacks. He misses as many tackles as Ben Barba does.

Not getting my hopes up BUT consider the following:

1\. Tedesco publicly stated multiple times that he would not rush this contract decision due to lessons learned during last contract negotiations. Also publicly stated multiple times his preference was to stay
2\. Tedesco has been poorly advised/managed by Isaac Moses during this entire contract situation as has Woods and Mitchell
3\. Tedesco has not signed a deal with another club, he has ongoing negotiations with the Roosters but nothing is signed quite obviously
4\. If Tony Adams aka the mole is saying that Teddy is telling his team mates that he wants to sign then you can bet that is the honest truth - the mole has really good relationships with a lot of NRL players
5\. Anyone who hasn't seen ET's interview today, watch it now considering point #4
6\. It's not a backflip if you haven't signed anywhere yet

Saw the ET interview, he handles the media well, captain material.

Anyone know Where the ET interview is?

I saw it on ten news, may be a different interview

Same interview, all the media were at Concord today.

Moley is reporting Teddy could backflip….

He also said that about Moses after they beat the Cowboys.

If Tedesco backflips on another contract his word will worthless in the eyes of everyone, so let him go. I like the idea of getting new blood into the joint.

So what I've heard is that Tedesco will officially sign on with the Roosters as soon as they get their cap and TPAs in order. Roosters were having issues with some TPAs so the media took that as "Tedesco hasn't signed yet so he must be still considering the Tigers". No such luck, they're just waiting for the Roosters to get their house in order before making it official.

**_Was advised_** the Roosters and Bulldogs cannot sign the increased players (to 30) as well as both Teddy/Woods unless they clear players out is the other issue. NRL needs to see a clear plan before endorsing a contract. They are both 3 & 6 players shy cap wise for min wage for next season.

This means "I read on the internet". In this period of flux, lets not pretend. Its annoying and you are not kidding anyone.

Think you're pretty spot on with that summary. Going by only that you'd think he would stay.
What I don't get is how there's so much speculation that he's already signed or agreed to terms elsewhere.
Then there's the deadline last Friday- so apparently he met with Pascoe but his manager did not. I would also assume, going by some of Cleary's comments that they've also discussed the situation. So what did he tell Pascoe and Cleary? 'I haven't made up my mind. If you need to remove the offer then so be it….' or 'I'm thinking of leaving'.

^^^This is what he said in his triple m interview after the dogs game.

I'm still hoping he stays some how.

And listening to Kelly Egan speak reiterated what fine young men they are - I think they still think they are a chance. False hope ??? probably.

False hope may be, but the club being linked to all these players shows these pair that the club is no longer waiting around for them to ponder any more, for once the club looks to be on the front foot.

Our mate Jimmy Hooper shot down the suggestion, reckons he'll put pen to paper for 4 years this week.

Wait a second..Two weeks ago Pooper said Tedesco had signed with the Roosrers..now it's pen to paper this week….

Another Pooper Scooper...

I am over Tedesco his money could be better spent balancing out the team .

Same I wonder what Watson and Mitchell are on this season money wise, surely combined couldn't be much more if more at all than Teddy. Maybe we could take them off their hands and they can take him this season. We can have adequate replacements (not better) with a view to the future, this is of course if all 3 players and clubs could be in agreement.

The team would certainly have better balance and if as rumoured we could get TMM and shift Moses 2 of the 3 causing disruption would be gone and we could all move on from the circus, huge long shot but one can daydream.
