As good as James is has he ever played a whole season without injury ?

If you're looking for reasons to justify thinking it wouldn't be demoralizing losing him, it's not working.

And if we sign all the big 4 we have players like Milone around them what's the use we will always be the peasants of the NRL.

You've convinced me. Let him go. Maybe we can sign Michael Gordon to replace him.

I hope the elephant in the room of contract negotiations is addressed by the coach in the dressing room. Negotiations will be on going and the coach has to let them know that he wants them there. This will drag on but we can only hope that it doesn't affect our season.

They have re-signed Cordner, JWH, Taukeiaho, Manu & added Keary and a few cheapies. How much room do they have under the cap?

I think this is the best way of describing the salary cap I have seen, starts around the 1 minute 10 second mark.

It won't affect us any differently than the 15 other clubs who have half their roster's off contract. We're not the only ones in this predicament

The club has already said Tedesco is their priority one so I really can not see them not having a real red hot shot at getting his signature. Pascoe has said that Teddy on and off the field is what our brand name is all about

The last 6 months the club has really gone out of its way to make Tedesco and to a lesser extent Moses, the faces of the club. If they walk, it won't just be on the field where the club feels it. It will be a PR disaster.

As long as they don't take Tedesco for granted again we will get our man

The roosters thing came out in 2014 also.. Complete rubbish. Just a media beat up or his manager trying to get a bit more on the tigers offer.

Only just recently teddy had the article about keeping all 4 at the club. Not to mention turning down the raiders a few years ago.

I just can't see him leaving if the tigers make a good offer. Makes no sense.

It might actually be a sign that he is in deep talks with the tigers. Just the manger trying to bump it.

Let's hope it's resolved soon.

Very good explanation there. Looks like the Roosters may need another large hat again.
Loved the third party guy.

Never thought about the Donald being a backer or owner of our club , but this could be his way of running it
First thing we will do is build a wall Around our players to keep them in
Second , I aways get my man ( teddy re signed ) as well as 4 more Australian Rep players
I always get the job done on time or before the dead line
TPA for players , Ive got truck loads of money so don't worry about that ,
We will win the comp,, I always win
I came from behind by 6 points and beat Clintons Team
The NRL looks broken so I will buy it and re build it so I win
Our cheer squad will be 100 ladies strong , the biggest one in the comp , I love the ladies
My Kids are very smart so they will help me break down all the other clubs so I win

Together we will make it great again

We'll win so much that we'll get sick of winning?

Anyone who thinks Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon is credible as a sports team owner, businessman or indeed human being should watch the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary "Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?" It's on Foxtel Anytime in the ESPN channel for anyone who has that - well worth a watch anyway actually.

JAMES Tedesco has revealed his management has officially started contract talks with the Wests Tigers.

While negotiations are only in their infancy, the Tigers will need to front up close to $1 million a season to be in the hunt to retain the superstar fullback.

Since making his Origin debut for NSW last year and pushing for Test selection, Tedesco is in career best form.

As a Camden junior, his preference is to remain with the Tigers but admits the direction the club is building towards will influence his decision.

“I just turned 24 so it’s my most important (contract) to come,” Tedesco told foxsports.com.au

“We’ll have to work through and see what they offer and how were going to build as a club.

“I’m a local junior and I’d love to stay.

“I haven’t spoken in too much depth about it yet so we’ll see what happens.”

Tedesco has however moved to ease the concerns of nervous Tigers fans by declaring he hasn’t had any contact with the Roosters.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Bondi as rival clubs ramp up their pursuit of the no.1.

“I haven’t spoken to them at all,” Tedesco said of the tri colours.

“No offers, no nothing that I know of. It was all in the media. Last year I was going through so management problems and wanted to get that sorted first.

“I’ve got that sorted now and haven’t heard anything from them.”

The Tigers have an incredible difficult job awaiting them with more than half their top squad off-contract this season.

In fact, the Tigers have a whopping 21 players without a deal beyond 2017 including the likes of Aaron Woods, Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses and Tedesco.

Interestingly, Tedesco recently signed with new manager in Isaac Moses, whose clients include Moses, Brooks and Woods.

While the foursome has spoken of their desire to remain together, Tedesco is under no illusions that it’s a big request.

He’s also well aware of the other $55 million worth of talent without a deal for 2018.

“We all enjoy each other’s company and would love to stay together but it is a tough time,” he said.

“Not just us, but there’s a lot of players off contract too so it’s a difficult period. I’m confident we’ll get a good outcome.”

The Tigers almost lost him once when he agreed to join Canberra on a three-year-deal back in 2014 before Robbie Farah intervened and helped broker a deal which kept him in Concord.

Almost three years on Tedesco admits he wasn’t confident enough to handle the pressure of coming off-contract but is comfortable this time around.

While his preference is to make a call on his future “sooner rather than later”, he acknowledged that he’s mature enough to not let negotiations affect his football if the process is drawn out.

“I’m alright now where I can play my natural footy — I’ve matured a bit,” he said.

“When I was a bit younger with Canberra and that sort of stuff it played on my mind and it can hinder your game.

“I have that experience and I’ve matured from last negotiations.”
