Just out of interest, do you guys think that the club has called their bluff and now they are reeling?

Not really. If you read both their post match interviews, they are almost word for word. They've definitely been instructed what to say. They're trying to paint themselves as the victims the same way Moses did after his contract was pulled.

Yep I noticed that too. Makes me even angrier. Cant even give a genuine answer. Everything written for them by that cretin Isaac.

Link for Woods' interview plz?

I agree, I just heard the woods interview. I guess what it comes down to is that they don't have much leverage. I just dont know why the bulldogs woulds be interested in woods???? look at their forwards, they need backs!

One theory is that he was just bait to lure Tedesco. Didn't work, now they're stuck with him. Paying him 900k

Tedesco Post-Match Interview Again Confuses The Contract Situation

Tedesco Post-Match Interview Again Confuses The Contract Situation
Image: @NRL

James Tedesco has attracted a fair amount of press this week after talk that he's set to head to the Roosters.

However, Teddy took the chance in a post-match interview with the Triple M call team to clarify the situation. Listen to the full interview below.
\
\
"We haven't made a decision on my future yet. I think the media sort of made it for me without us confirming that.

"It was a tough situation and I've just listened to Isaac (Moses, his manager) and I'm happy with how he's handling it."

Interestingly, Teddy seemed adamant that the decision not to respond to the Tigers before the Friday deadline was not the nail in the coffin of his chances of remaining with the club, saying that he wasn't ready to make a decision yet.
\
\
Like skipper Woods, Teddy said that he had not signed with a club, rival or otherwise.

However, the Tigers made it clear on Friday that as a consequence of the deadline not being met, offers slated to both Teddy and Woods were now off the table, with the Tigers presently not having a bid put in for their services.

"That's their call. I wasn't ready to make a decision so that's their call on that and there's not much I can do about it."

This really makes his friends comments in todays paper seem like lies, or is he telling lies in the interview.

I doubt there was really any friend… Just Dean Ritchie (or was it rottfield) creative writing

Probably right, but they made it sound like they were speaking to multiple friends, but no one proof read the garbage to fix all the contradictions.

Maybe Joe Wehbe wants to get them into politics to represent the interests of his development company. Isaac is training them to read statements.

Either he is full of lies or Dean Ritchie's story in the paper is garbage. The Ritchie story sounded like a New Idea headline "a friend said" "a source close to Tedesco"

I had the same 2 friends growing up. Mickey and goofy were their names.

I was a bit younger than our problem children though.

How many months did they need? The club couldn't wait any longer as the window of getting replacements for them was closing everyday.

By the sound of it they had better than fair deals tabled to them by us and they know who the coach is now.

If you love the club and your teammates you put pen to paper, get on the bus and get going.

The fact that they are now claiming victim status shows us why, despite their on-field skill, we are better off heading in a different direction.

If they were truly not sure, then wouldn't they have approached the club before the deadline and asked for more time? Instead they just ignored it.
Maybe Moses is still shopping them around looking for a better offer.

100% correct Harvey if they are not sure talk to Cleary or Pascoe simple.
The club needs to know one way or another so they can start to look at other players before they are all signed up.

maybe im just naive, but i feel it's simpler than all that.

i think they honestly dont know what to do yet, especiallly since only a quarter of this season has gone by.

these guys are different to benji/robbie, there's no ego. there's some immaturity but that can be expected of 22-24 year olds right?

That has to be the worst interview I've heard, absolute garbage even if he hasn't decided and wanted to stay I don't know that I would personally like that.
His character is at best questionable and he's obviously easily led by others he seems to follow his grub manager blindly.

I wouldn't read too much into those interviews, it's just two players trying to save face. They've received a lot of flack and now they're just trying to shift the blame away from them and their manager. If they really havnt agreed to anything then maybe someone should tell the Roosters and Bulldogs, because they've certainly been acting like its a done deal. The Bulldogs came out and denied a contract had been signed Foran and even rang the Warriors to re-assure them. No such thing for Woods. As for the Roosters, their sponsors and former players have had loose lips all week. Look at this interview for what it is, PR.
