We have roster spots and plenty of cash for next season that we haven’t filled.

What makes people think a quality play maker would pick us over a bunch of other clubs who have cash if not more than us?

Do people not recall how difficult it has been for us to compete in the playing market for players - and now even more difficult with Bears entering the competition.
This whole sack everyone and replace them mentality is not effective when you are camped at the bottom of the pile - more so in a competitive Sydney market. I just hope to god the people making the decisions at this club have worked that out.

I understand a big ego is required to play NRL (I teach an 11yr old who is state rep in league, union, and afl, and that kid's self-belief is huge, and he will end up a professional sportsman, no doubt) but you still have to earn the right to be upset someone is better than you. LG never has. Latu is better than him, Luai is streets better than him, heck, even Doueihi is playing better than him since he left. Ugh

It's complete BS too. If you actually watched the games they played together, Luai was playing second fiddle to Galvin.

Would any other club pay him what we’re paying him? Surely not, therefore if he wants to be paid he will have to take up the options.

I reckon if the doggies had a choice between Luai or Galvin that they would have taken Luai in a heartbeat

I like that, was hoping for that at the start of the series, Moses plays a short side far better than Cleary does. As long as Moses is a link to Cleary and it doesn’t pigoen hold him to the left side of the field I’d be happy. The width they had Luai playing with I can’t see there being any chance of pigeonholing the halves. Moses belongs on the right. Cleary would play well out the back of Moses.

Not entirely correct - There were 2 likely Backrowers at the time,
Ray Stone and Jakob Giles. Jakob Giles looked more likely at the time, Big Rangy thing...
We chose him over Stone, Stone kicked on and Giles got injured and faded out.

Believe he's up your way (Was from there) Roosters maybe?
**Edit** He's at the Hawks, Won the Dally M of that comp just last year.

Toukley lad, great ball playing skills - he played in the Hawks premiership winning teams up here in 2022 & 2023 (grand finalists last year). Haven’t seen him this year - maybe injured, not sure 🤷‍♂️

Remembered he came down with that Central Coast group, Reckon that would have been the last of Warren McDonnells signings the first time round.
Had Dreadlocks down to his Arse when he was playing 20's for the Tigers.

Are we paying Luai 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 million per season ?
I keep seeing different figures being thrown up and at 1.2 million you would think it’s a fair chance he will eventually provide us with that type of value on game days, but if it’s 1.3 or 1.4 it gets harder to see if we will get value for that type of money.

Interesting that you say Wests-Ts chose Giles over Stone as he “looked more likely”.
Stone was chosen in the Australian Schools team 2014 and the NSW under 18s in 2015 (Giles made neither side), so plenty of other judges saw it differently.
