OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

That to me is the major problem
...relying on API far to much instead of stepping up and backing him..as we all know the NRL isn't a one man game,if the players are in the top 30 they all should know how the game is played...imo,step up or step out.. this is what kills confidence and talent..RELYING ON ONE MAN...
I agree with a slightly different slant. Imagine having a team where we have more than 1 personality with elite traits that try 100% of the time regardless.

It’s why players like Seyfarth gets a run every week.

I don't think he should receive any payments whilst at tigers. It blurs the lines. What if he was here next year then one of those making payments asked for something? Where does the loyalty lay? We dont need the drama next year. We didn't need the drama this year. Injuries or not, the Luai decision has derailed our season the same way Galvin did.. 2/10.
Injuries derailed our season, and players not giving 100%, and that does not include Luai. I'm a contractor and I see this crap all the time, but if you dwell on this for weeks or months you're not a professional.

It's like no one is allowed to leave of their own free will or everything is your fault. Clubs created this environment of uncertainty. Fair dinkum, this game is worse than an old wives club.

He was a ball boy for Wests Tigers during 2010-2013 because of his dad, wishful thinking but hopefully it converted him to being a fan lol

I reckon with Luai’s money being available we’d be able to offer him a competitive deal and then who knows
Samuela is top priority - let’s not get distracted, he’s on everyone’s lips and we can’t expect him to take unders to re-commit - open the safe.
We don’t need some Family Tree halfback option, yes the Humphrey name is famous and his Dad went to England to secure Lote Tukiri for us BUT we have 3 great halves options already with Douehe, Latu and Andrews - maybe even Schuster if he pulls his finger out.

It has derailed the season I agree with that 100 percent

I honestly wonder what is next year's problems we all know that there will be one never boring at Tiger Town

I don't care what anyone says injuries, lack of depth they were definately contributing factors. But this contract situation would have been bubbling away in the background the group would have known about it or certain factions did. Of course it plays a massive part, just like the Galvin situation did so did this, its hard to say but we allowed it to happen to ourselves.

I don’t want him as a halfback, I reckon he has lock written all over him

From about the 6 minute mark they talk about the Luai situation. Some interesting insights like Benji being throw off guard by Luai leaving and also how the social media posts didn't go down well with some of the players.
