What about that gang of bullys in the Canberra Press Gallery.Couple of rough suburbs in Canberra for him to feel right at home.
Distinct lack of gangs though…blue collar gangs anyway.

When it’s announced and if that happens, I’ll be excited for sure.
Yeah Ciraldo hasn't proven much. Yes he won some NYC comps for penrith and is a good assistant, but that is all we know so far. Bit like Trent Barrett tbhI don’t think he’s that good period. Plus, not good vibes coming out of their camp. He’s one guy I’m happy for the club to take a punt on Benji over.
Luai will sort out his future before Christmas. Whether that is with penrith or somewhere else, it has been reported he wants it done soon before preseason startsI'm not getting my hopes up at all but I wouldn't be surprised if this happens prior to Christmas. It makes sense to me. I think Moses was just using us to increase his pay at Parra whereas I think Luai is going to leave Penrith and I think we are the best club for him to go too.
Yes we've won the last two wooden spoons but culture wise (apart from the board) we are heaps better and have less egos in the team. Think of some of their main players and guys on their coaching staff (Willie Mason) who don't know how to run a footy club. I'm backing Benji to guide the path through troubled watersThe more I think about this decision....
We should not go Jerome Luai.
Why? Yes I rate him as a player and I reckon he would do good here.
But, his reasons for joining us would be wrong.
Think about it.
Cameron Ciraldo coaches the Bulldogs. We know the Bulldogs have Burton, Crichton from Penrith playing for them. More then that they have Ciraldo, who is known to work players hard and push them.
If Luai says No to the Dogs, he is saying NO to hard work and hard training. The kind of training that got Penrith to the finals.
Benji, would make a good offer. I reckon Benji could work with a guy like Luai and really up his skillset at 5/8. Yet the motivation won't be there.
Luai, if he wants another premiereship will want to join the Dogs or an established team like South Sydney/Easts/Brismelbourne/etc.
So maybe we dodged a bullet in not getting him, but then again, I’m sure we’ve paid good dollars for someone who’s never coached anything ? Vs an assistant Premiership winning coach and great developer of young talent !Yeah Ciraldo hasn't proven much. Benji being a great player is no guarantee he will be a great coach especially as a rookie in the worst team. But I am confident it is a better choice than Ciraldo. Most penrith assistants (barring Andrew Webster) struggle elsewhere. To pull the club out of the mess it is in, someone who knows the identity of the club and is entrenched in the fabric of winning is BenjiSo maybe we dodged a bullet in not getting him, but then again, I’m sure we’ve paid good dollars for someone who’s never coached anything ? Interesting …., who do you think is the better option( at this stage) ?

He isn’t eloquent enough to mix with them. What about that gang of bullys in the Canberra Press Gallery.
Burto been in the press this week saying he wants to stay at 5/8If dogs are chasing Luai, does that mean they’ve given up on Burton at 6? They’d have a killer backline with Burton an Chriton in the 3 & 4.
This is likely how it will play out unless we are gazzumped by a rival. People are talking Dogs….could be anyone though and I’m sure many are doing their sums now our offer has been made public.I've a feeling we will get Luai. Another year at the Riff playing finals, maybe jag another premiership and then head off at 27/28 in 2025 to enormous money at our place. Why would he stick around for a lot less cash and what would he have left to achieve there, if anything?
Dogs would go after a one legged pole vaulter but if our offer is anywhere near that reported, we will be very competitive. This is likely how it will play out unless we are gazzumped by a rival. It’s not going to be as simple as giving him a big offer and him signing just like that. Someone else is going to make a big play at some point. Interesting how some teams just sit back and wait, yet we are always the first club on the scene with an offer. Really shows the club’s desperation for a marquee signing.Dogs would go after a one legged pole vaulter but if our offer is anywhere near that reported, we will be very competitive.
Api’s play style, combined with Benji’s coaching plan might be the draw card. It’s not going to be as simple as giving him a big offer and him signing just like that. Agree, they’re giving themselves options.Burto been in the press this week saying he wants to stay at 5/8
It's interesting.
They may have Tracey coming in and he wants to play 1, who knows what they've promised Critta and they've also got Taaf who's a 1 or 6, in most people's eyes.
So they've got options at 1 and 6....
Only really Sexton at 7, or potentially Taaf but Sexton is featuring massively in their training footage.
That's not including their utility guys like Salmon, Maan and Hutcho who can all play halves amongst other positions.
Some ones missing out...
Without even adding Romey to the mix.
