Well if you had the details of other new signings or extensions etc. then you might have a point. But we don't, we have no idea; we don't even know the actual value of this Luai deal. We don't even know that Tigers are not negotiating with other players in parallel to Luai (and we sign whoever says yes first).

So "knowing" where the money is allocated and secured is a false premise; you will never have such surety as a rugby league fan.

"Shouldn't be more hold ups" is also purely speculative - we have no idea what hold ups there might be (or not) and why they exist (or don't). So we cannot posit that there should not be any more hold ups.

What about all the other cash we still have for 25 and beyond already to spend. We had a $1m offer apparently submitted to AFB which we pulled & offered Tupou & Blore increased deals.

We have cash so holding the $1.2 or whatever it is right now for the next few weeks will make little difference to us anyway.

Prefer to give some of the kids some NRL experience next year with virtual zero pressure on them expectations wise to be better positioned to be ready if Luai comes.

If we think back to 05.
03 was a rookie draft year. (Maybe 24 is that)
04 was external recruits finding their way
05 we snapped half way through the season
Then Prince left and it fell apart.

Still fantastic but perhaps in 25 Luai isn't as relevant.

But nurturing the youth now and bringing much needed positively into the joint Luai is much more valuable now. We can instantly dream of semis.

Who knows how we will need to shape the cap in 25 given Fainu, Galvin, Bula's and Sullivan's development .

Personally..I dont think hes coming.Hope Im wrong,but his behaviour is atypical of someone who is joining a new team
Hes had a month to buy into Benji's vision for him at the club,and more specifically,to reflect on an unmatchable financial offer which wld make him one of the games highest paid players.And in doing so wld add stability and credibilty in his new club
..and he still hasnt committed.
Think his manager is squeezing the very last cent out of Panthers and Dogs TPAs to get as close as he can to our offer..and he will take his chances on the contract term in 3 years

Sezer may be a revelation as playmaker
its very challenging to attract top tier talent,particularly from the premiers when yr stuck at the bottom.Our first graders are ok to play as backups for them!

Literally in 24 we have zero expectations results wise the kids can just play footy and grow.

The second Luai runs out wearing a jersey expectations of winning & finals follow.

You are way of the mark , 100% of fans on here could not give a rats 🐀 arse when he signs , what most on here are worried about is the dogs trying to cut our grass during this so called 10 cooling of period, which is now way over 10 days , or he has got cold feet and is staying put, this is a big thing for our club so don’t just make it a trivial thing when it’s not

Richo doesn’t formally start until this week & Pascoe was punted 2 weeks or so before Chrissy. No one at the club was able to sign off on anything over the last 3 weeks formally as it was.

Richo obviously has been doing a role early but formally in legal speaks / nrl sign off terms are no doubt 2 different things which kick in this week.

Barry doesn’t start until this week also and so the new board would need to have that formal yes vote to sign it off (so 1st time to do that probably is this or next week).

3rd party focus and have zero doubts that this would’ve been complicated with Lee leaving v Richo/Barry inbound. They will have different contacts/views and networks on this.

Just think that we need to settle on timeframe expectations. If something comes out this week awesome but my expectations wise is next week if it happens.
