Jason Shirnack

Needs a massive wrap…

According to Sheens on ABC Radio, Shirnack was in the crowd ready to watch the game this afternoon, having played State Cup yesterday. Was called in when Fulton was ruled out shortly before the game, and had to borrow Fulton's boots!
Well done Jase...

Lets hope he doesn't need to worry about State Cup next week and can play in the top 17 with his own boots! Well done to him.

He was a positive for us today. He plays the game aggressively and is willing to hit a hole off the playmakers, i`d be keeping him in my top 17.

Just had a listen to that - And it makes his debut all the more impressive given the situation. Can you imagine the bloke sitting in the Tigers players section all set to watch the boys sweat it out when along comes one of the coaching staff throwing you a pair of shorts and telling you you're going to make your debut…

The question remains - what if he _wasn't_ at the game?

Someone from the Under 20s would have had to back up. It's happened before…

A pity Aaron Woods is injured because I saw him at the game and he is huge. Bigger than Fafita (well taller anyway), he's still growing too so there's another good prop in the making there.

Around 1 inch shorter than Paul Sirronen.

Brings back memories of Trevor Cogger at Lidcombe Oval back in the early 80's, he played reserve grade and thought that that was it for the day so went to hill and tucked into a couple of beers and pies and then the call came over the PA, despite this he played a starring role coming on as a replacement.
Ah the good old days when you had to play a lower grade game to qualify to be a replacement for first grade, and by the way the name is FIFITA, not fafita. Hope both Schirnack and Fifita are included in the 19 for Friday nights game.

By angry…I mean ...agression ++

Both he and Fifita played well today, a credit to them both!
They both outplayed Moors and Cayless which says something in itself

True. They offer more at this stage of our campaign.

That is what I have been saying all along.

And you say Sheens has an ego.
