Jason Taylor: "Disappointed..."

Disappointed about last night, but overall, I thought we had a pretty good year.

Competitive in most matches, flogged in one, and with a few things to go our way, the top eight was there for the taking.

As for the boys is reserve grade, Sironen is playing like a busted and no way should he be in first grade. Cherrington is in the same boat. As for Farah, now that the season is over, perhaps Taylor should let him play the last two games. This way the Farah fan club will be happy and the team goes into next year on a positive note. Farah to Souths also on a positive note. Win, win.

Taylor's made his bed … The season is over .
He's failed again .
Taylor should've played Farah for the last month.
No point in shutting the gate when the horse has already bolted .
If I were Farah and Taylor picked me to play in firsts next week I'd tell him to shove it !

He can't say that as then they can then get him for breaking his contract,
But I can see your point, and agree with it

Watched the presser and JT dribbles a lot of crap
He repeats the same old over and and over, like someone who is really poor at public speaking or a sore loser who doesnt have any words left
\
\
He is full of it, NFI when he cant explain why we couldnt compete and then said we stopped the landslide in 2nd half 12-6

Half the people here who give this guy credit are fooling themselves

Taylor says Rakin had an off game and later praised him for a try saving tackle late in the game
FFS you douche we still lost 40-10 and ended our own season..

For anyone who thinks he should get another season as our coach pls dont reply to my post..

. He has made a lot of mistakes.

And im sure he will continue to in 2017 if he remains our coach

He will continue to put Lovett in Centres and pick under performers over players who deserve to play..

Next year we can pick our top 25 and should easily be under the cap but this fool will pick players not worthy of playing FG

I can understand your sentiment but that rejection could result in RF breaking his contract and he loses all leverage and probably cash.

Fake an injury then …

Hasn't trained all week with State Cup..Calf acting up…

Sweet !
Wouldn't want to give Taylor the satisfaction .

Give it a rest hobbo, your hatred of Taylor clouds your judgement on anything where his name is mentioned.

No clouds at all … Just posting my opinions .
Hate is such a strong word , I'd say dislike is more appropriate .

From Taylor's own lips…
'it wasn't a setback in the progress that we have made'
Apparently it was all about our 'energy' and he has 'no explanation for it'.

Im not pro a coaching change, however people saying a new coach means you throw everything away and have to start again are off the mark for mine.

Sometimes new coaches can make immediate impacts at a club. Sometimes they are at their best fresh.

There are numerous examples.

Let me guess. You think Toddy Payten is the one.

I have said on several occasions I would rather Jason taylor x 1000 over Payten.

Or words to that effect.

He made a few really big sighs in the press conference.

He did genuinely look dumbfounded to be fair.

See how they respond next week although its a worry when you just don't show up at all with your season on the line.

Well next week titans vs panthers play on saturday. Panthers win (which i think they will) and we are still alive and playing warriors on sunday. So if they dont respond then, they never will.

Taylor's dissapointed.

Everyone's disappointed.

What else would you expect a coach to say?

People calling for his sacking seem to want to continue the instability we've experienced for years now. I'm not a massive fan of JT, but he's been given 3 years so let's see them out and then change if need be.

He said a lot of stupid stuff (probably offensive to some) but thats water under the bridge. Our roster has been hamstrung, and until we have cash, not much will change no matter who the coach is.

I said at the start of the year that Taylor was a risk. He isn't someone that is going to consistently make good decisions. I think he has improved a lot since he got here but he comes across as learning on the job.

I'm inclined to keep him if Robbie goes but if Robbie stays maybe we should get rid of him if we can.

You honestly believe the best option is for Taylor to go and let Robbie have his final year on his terms?
What is it you Robbie die hards want?

Only flogged in one game col??? Really??? What is your interpretation of a flogging??? I can think of four games we were "flogged" in… Raiders, Bulldogs, Roosters, Panthers maybe there was another one or two I missed??

I agree with Stevetiger, it is crazy having a successful expensive player in Reserves. Moses and Brookes need more first grade experience under their belt so Robbie is still needed out there for more attack options and defence. At least the hooker position that is adequately covered - adequately covered in SOO so should be good enough for WT. At the end of the poopy game Woods is smiling whereas Robbie would have them on eggshells - so make Robbie capt as well. He even tries to make the ref walk on egg shells when necessary.

Fair enough, pretty much all fans are angry and disappointed.

He was pretty frank is his assessment of the performance, he didn't sugar coat it. The only positive thing he said was try saving tackle by Nofoaluma and Rankin towards the end of the match. Woods agreed with Taylor.

A coach who can't motivate his team to play even at a respectable level in a game of great importance fails miserably. The coach failed the ultimate test under pressure and there is no way around it he has to be sacked.

Yeah let's just sack the coach and bring another noob coach with their idea of rebuilding in.
Can't wait to start all over again.

Maybe we need that. Taylor has been pretty ordinary. He has made a lot of mistakes.

Saying that it was only a lack of "energy" that caused it sounded like sugar coating to me.
Nothing about disrupting the team with the positional crap , and the stupid selections.

It must be nice to be so content with mediocrity. I thought it was a very disappointing year because it could have (should have) been so much better. We need a good coach. We don't have one now.

As for Sironen, he should absolutely be in first grade. He is eons better than Lovett who offers absolutely nothing in any capacity whatsover. And as for players "playing like a busted", how did Rankin go? You've been defending him for weeks and your silence is now deafening.

Finally, "flogged in one". I think 60-6 vs Raiders, 36-4 vs Bulldogs, 40-10 vs Panthers is three.

Wise up.

You've been waiting for weeks to say "sack him" -

Say it as much as you like, it ain't gonna happen.

The only real reason JT got to coach the Tigers was that he was an ex Western Suburbs player and as Wests have the Majority holdings over the joint venture they had the power to appoint.
Their were far better credential candidates for the job…................
Bring on Ivan Cleary ( A coach not affiliated with either side )
