As for Sironen, he should absolutely be in first grade.

And people get accused of accepting mediocrity for defendig Taylor  :roll

This from the guy that supports Lovett week after week…

Also, I remember you complaining last week that people from the forum were being "pessimistic" for thinking that Penrith might beat us. How's that working out for you?

You win some you lose some.

Rubbing it in to someone who had confidence in their team. The same team you claim to support

Very strange

Everyone's entitled to their opinion of course, but most seemed pretty pleased to see Sirro dropped. At the time, I would have chosen Lovett over him. I haven't seen much of him in reserves. Has he been on fire?

Average. I think one of the reasons why Lovett is there ahead of him is because Lovett has a go.

Season 2016 was a disaster.
Season 2017 an underachievment.

Dissapointed but used to it.

I would describe some of that shocking and amateur defence throughout some of 2017 as also a disaster.

I think the years have been muddled up.
we are currently in 2016.
next year will be 2017.

Having a go means nothing if you're hopeless - and Lovett is hopeless. Sironen on the other hand at least has the potential to improve.

Same old same old,we loose and the coach bashers are out in force to have a swing.

We have basically a pretty inexperienced team that probably hit the wall after the Cowboys game. At the start of the year I thought the grind would get to us mid season but we actually lasted till the last month. We are still way off being a good side but we have made good progress from last year and you would hope we will make similar improvements next year.

Our roster needs some new faces, but I guess the salary cap is going to prevent much happening, the good thing we have some real forward talent coming up through the grades that should be ready for the NRL in a couple of seasons.

Taylor deserved to see out his contract and at the end of next year he is either flicked or retained depending on our season. Changing coaches every year or two is madness

One of the only worthwhile posts in this thread. Everyone entitled to their opinion of course, but wow there's some shockers. Can't believe the amount of people who think bringing in a new coach would be of any benefit.. It makes no sense to do that.

Holding the coach accountable for his poor performance? Now why would you do that when we can blame the players and everyone else except Taylor!

Keep the hate going - it's been going all season.

You do realise that if JT and Farah both go - you'll have nothing to post about.

That potential has been coming on for 5 years. Any chance it will mature before he retires?

Well he's only 23 so yes, i'm very confident it will be realised. Thanks for asking.

On the contrary, I am looking forward to when we have coach who can showcase the talent we have in the squad. Our current coach can't and won't take responsibility for his failures.

At that age, and nearly 70 first grade games, most players potential has been realised. Instead he's languishing in reserve grade and had no takers when told he was free to negotiate with other clubs.

In fairness he's getting terrible service from the reserve grade dummy half.

I was really proud of you for making a post without mentioning Farah. Unfortunately you couldn't push that streak to two. Good try though champ.

2016 Underachievement.
2017 Premiership.

A new low in pessimism. Going off a bit early with your appraisal of our 2017 defence yeah? According to the gregorian calendar it is still 2017\. Do you have access to a flux capacitor or something? An almanac for the 21st Century? If so, please I want a look at it.

sorry about that mistake, a typo, should have been 2016 of course. Taking into consideration the slight progression of defence from 2015 to 2016 I don't hold out much hope for 2017\. Hope they prove me wrong of course. I can well understand light Moses getting pushed off but Brooks falling off from behind or the side (two instances) is a joke. He should be in reserves not our most consistent tackler. I was a beginner chess coach against professional coaches and I never had the disastrous results that Jason's team produces. You drill them solidly and they don't do amateur stuff - yes it is that simple.
