No other club would cop players dogging it on two consecutive coaches. It's great that seems to be changing.

so there we have it ladies and gents, hard evidence, direct quote from the head cheese that mediocrity is acceptable at weststigers. Loose 5 games in a row and we are going ok, thanks buddy, dont worry about winning, the rots all the way at the top i say.

Absolutely. Pascoee Is obviously just another dud employee. 2 wins from 8 and they are all very proud.
What will it take for them to chang things?

OK so the Robbie Farah thread got closed after 332 pages. But I wanted to revisit the topic here - people were asking what happens if JT demotes Farah at the start of 2016 and we start winning, or selects him and we are losing.

Fast forward and Farah's injury makes the call on behalf of the coach, and we are 2/3 without him, 0/5 with him.

Thoughts?

As I said in another thread, field the team that won the first two games. Can the result be worse than 60-6?

Good call.

In stating all of that I'm concerned we are overpaying certain players. Farah is an obvious one. I'm worried there are others.

More than the coach, more than bludging players, this is out biggest problem. We've overspent on certain players so we can't afford to replace them. Lawrence, Farah, Sirro & the Bros.

I think so as well. Farah is the clear example - we are paying something like $900k for a player that is probably worth half that at best. That is $400k that could be spent on another player.

It's also what we don't know. I remember someone at the club stating that Woods and Robbie were our marquee players. Woods isn't a marquee player.

The name of this post should be changed. Tigers CEO has emphasised that Taylor is signed until the end of 2017 and has categorically stated in the media that Jason Taylor is not going anywhere and will definitely be coaching Wests Tigers Wests Tigers at least until the end of this season.

Can we ever get any good news? What has happened to Elijah Taylor moving to Wests Tigers this season. Surely all this continuous silent bickering between Farah and Taylor coupled with the resulting general loss of interest shown by all our first grade players has and will continue to turn away any possible quality recruitment away from the club. This club continues to go down the drain thanks largely to Taylor and Farah's toxic effect on club spirit and pride.

We're really proud of what we have been able to achieve on and off the field over the past six months and how we have been able to establish and buy into all these standards, so to then go out last night and not achieve any of those standards was nothing other than disappointing and unacceptable."

Can someone tell me what we have achieved on or off the field in the last 6 months that we should be proud of ?

This is what gets me, and the we could have won 4 or 5 of the games we lost we were right in those games, hey Pascoe this is not under 8's it is results driven elite level NRL.
We have lost 6 games on the trot, that is unexceptable, don't try and justify the previous 5 losses they were losses we need wins, there in lies the problem with this club, except and make excuses for failing :brick: .

The more I read this, the more I see it as Pascoe outsmarting the players. He's pretty much saying "you dogged it under Potter, and if you think you're going to do it again and get the same result, think again".

Agreed. The attitude will be that majority of players from Saturday will get a chance to redeem themselves this week. Taylor then has 18 days to reassess and players will be moved around.

Certainly reads like it .
But Pascoe needs to come out and explain to everyone why the club is hell bent on having 50% of local juniors in the squad when we all know that there's better options bumming around in reggies .

Should also be explained why Taylor was appointed to appease the Wests side, while buckets was appointed to appease the Balmain side.

You think that true GNR? I hope it's not.

Pascoe is just another in the long line of mouthpiece CEO's we have had…loves the fancy Buzz words ...It's a re-engineering...I mean what the hell does that mean..

pfft..re-engineering...just take it to the wreckers already...geez..

We talk about changes that should be made to the Team after the Canberra debacle, but is JT in a position to make changes?? Are his hands being tied behind his back while he's being attacked?

If this is the case, then I would have a high regard for him to come out and say that Team selections have been taken out of his hands by the Front Office.

If this is the case, then we all know what the problem is….

I would have thought that there was already pressure on Taylor and that this had skyrocketed as a a result of the Raiders loss. Surely many things should be questioned, not just the teams lack of effort against Canberra. We can all cite his appalling team selections as just one other area where he falls down.

Exceptionally well put

Don't know any other club in the NRL that have a prop as a marquee player. Woods is a good prop but as Wayne Bennett states you can only pay props so much.

Robbie deal is harder to complain about. He was for many years one of the best (in top 3) number 9's in the NRL. He restructured his deal to help the club out. He is not worth the money he is currently on but he did take unders earlier to stay at the club. It is difficult. if JT really wanted him gone the board should have paid Robbie out.

I think a lot of our money problems are what we are paying local juniors just to get them to stay at the club. I would imagine the likes of Brooks, Mosses, Sirronen, Simona, Nofaluma etc are all being paid well above their current level of ability. The only guy I would not say that about is Tedescoe he is probably worth more than what we pay him

For mine overpaying the juniors has left less money to surround them with the experienced NRL players we need. Our squad may have some genuine talent coming through but is also filled with a lot of players that would be nowhere near the top 25 at most NRL clubs.

Talking about top 25 someone told me that JAC is not in it and to play him would eat into our second tier cap. Well I would rather play him the Milone and I don't think even our management is that inept that he would be a top 25 player rather than JAC.

The loss to the Raiders is only a symptom of the underlying issue. The necessity to have to engage a coaching consultant during the off season suggests there is a fundamental issue at play.

The toxic effect was here long before Jt arrived.
Farah is the toxic component.

Where is the proof ? Can you tell that from watching them play or is it something you just made up ?
