Jason Taylor ...THREAD...

So who is responsible - Moss or Taylor?

Taylor could always show some integrity by walking away if the team on the park is not what he wants or needs. This would turn the spotlight elsewhere, then.

I understand the fact that we've lost 4 games by less than 10\. I understand that we should have won a few of them. But the fact of the matter is we didn't and this says to me we struggle immensely to close out games and win the tight ones. No team is going ok when they have lost 6 in a row Mr. Pascoe. Any team in professional sports that has this attitude will not go anywhere fast. How can we honestly sit here and say we're headed in the right direction, accepting this brand of mediocrity that we have to put up with by this club and the players.

It really hurts me as a member and supporter to hear comments like this. For years we as fans and members have put up with a below standard football and business department at the Tigers. I thought maybe things will start changing. Business wise we have improved, football wise, it looks like mediocrity and poor performances will be accepted long into the night. I could probably say bar Milone losing his spot to Simona, we won't see many changes at all, because the no.1 Buzz word at this club is accountability :crazy

OK so the Robbie Farah thread got closed after 332 pages. But I wanted to revisit the topic here - people were asking what happens if JT demotes Farah at the start of 2016 and we start winning, or selects him and we are losing.

Fast forward and Farah's injury makes the call on behalf of the coach, and we are 2/3 without him, 0/5 with him.

Thoughts?

As I said in another thread, field the team that won the first two games. Can the result be worse than 60-6?

y

The two teams that we beat and almost threw away the wins against, were the two worst performing teams, Manly, and the Warriors, both were terrible at that stage.
Just as we are now.
Farah has been in our top three players in most of the games that he has played , since coming back from injury

We are in this competition to make up the numbers.Thats all that's expected from us.
And ( mostly) , that's all we deliver.
I read in one of the posts here, where someone referred to us as"our Great club"
While understanding his passion and support that the writer feels for the club, and not meaning to belittle what he feels, we arme far from a "Great " club
We are a club that's under funded
Badly Coached by bargain basement and substandard Coaches ,
( mostly).
Plagued by sub standard players
Plagued by a line of incompetent administration decisions
Have ( with the exception of a few) a lousy record of signings from
other clubs (mostly their rejects).
Have a dubious system of players selected time after time when
even the club buderigar can see that they should be dropped.

These are but a few things that have been the case for most of our
existence

But yes, let's get rid of one of the few players that actually wants to win.
And throw away money on players who haven't shown they deserve a place , even in our joke of a team.

These two halves are going to be the two highest paid reserve graders , playing first grade, in the history of the NRL as Taylor and/ or the club , don't have the stones to put them in the grade that they belong in.
If we have to keep them, and the way their contracts are, we probably will( have to as no one else want them , at least drop them and hire someone who can get through to these big heads , and teach them what they should have learnt in the last couple of wasted years.

Teach them what they need to know to wear the tag of first graders. Make them both shut up until they've shown that they deserve to be in any team. Keep them out of interviews, and stop them from Pumping up their own tyres, until they both have shown that they have a clue about what first grade is about.
I can't remember two footballers go backwards as quickly as these two have, and the club is to be blamed in part , for the way they have been handled.
Brook's going for a fake intercept attempt , to get him out of having to tackle one of the big boppers on our line on Saturday, was the breaking point for me. It was not the action of anyone who deserves to wear a first grade jumper.

I couldnt care less who replaces both of them , as I coulbnt care less how many more losses we have,
Just put someone in who isn't scared to get in front of the attack and at least slow them down
It's time to stop all the B/s around these two, and get rid of Taylors koala bears. ALL of them.
We've put up with this amateurism for too long
I'm completely over hearing about this pair

So Braith Anasta's 'good source', (worst kept secret) Robbie Farah says Taylor lost the players a long time ago.

Ever reliable sources and both with an agenda.

Tigertorch posts in here often and many believe he has inside knowledge, yet he says something different.

Interesting.

If that isn't a massive kick in the backside to the players Idk what is. I like this guy. Fair enough he might have to go but the players dogged it. Idc if your coach is Adolph Hitler, there's no excuse for totally giving up in games in the hope the coach gets thrown under the bus. I hope Pascoe told this to the players personally.

Let's face it what can Pascoe do, we have a very very average squad of players and a coach who can not lift them to the level required to compete in the NRL. All he can do is put them on notice and try and be positive

Without a massive recruitment drive we are going to be in the cellar for a long time

Found this on the LU forum. Interesting read.

Our squad is not very very average and if it is it's because players aren't performing to their ability.

Woods, Farah & Tedesco should all be elite players. Simona, Naiqama, Nofoluama, Grant, Lawrence, Sue & Halatau are all proven NRL players. Brooks and Moses are meant to be 2 of the better prospects in the game.

I think our squad needs some changes and some better players bought in but I don't think it is so far off. I think the issue is we need a couple of forwards and we need Brooks and Moses to kick on or replace them.

In stating all of that I'm concerned we are overpaying certain players. Farah is an obvious one. I'm worried there are others.

I am not sure that Robbie has been our best player, he looks like he is going through the motions.

That has come from this forum from Tiger Torch and he since done an update before saturdays fiasco

Not surprised that they are not going to intensify negotiations with the halves, they are driving their value down every week.

The more I read this, the more I see it as Pascoe outsmarting the players. He's pretty much saying "you dogged it under Potter, and if you think you're going to do it again and get the same result, think again".

Certainly reads like it .
But Pascoe needs to come out and explain to everyone why the club is hell bent on having 50% of local juniors in the squad when we all know that there's better options bumming around in reggies .

He's confirmed that there is no quota.

More than the coach, more than bludging players, this is out biggest problem. We've overspent on certain players so we can't afford to replace them. Lawrence, Farah, Sirro & the Bros.
