Just wondering if anyone else is disappointed we couldn't or didn't try to snag Jeff Lima. He is probably getting good coin but in my opinion this is a guy that we needed and picking him up just before pre season would have been massive for us who have struggled for go forward of late.

With good reason, he was effective for a few years during the Storm's cheating phase but was pretty average last season at Souths.

He signed with Catalans because he doesn't think he is up to first grade standards anymore. He said he tried really hard this year and thought he went pretty well but doesn't believe he can put up the same or better performances next year.

Full respect to the bloke for doing that. Good to see a guy put the team before himself and openly admitting they're not as good as they once were, instead of pushing an aging body and becoming a detriment to the team. He'll last longer in the ESL and probably earn more cash to retire with.

Even inglas took 2 years before he played good at souths
