OFFICIAL Jeral Skelton #294

I think Luke has potential but he is just turned 18 …

In a normal club he would be playing Flegg… he needs a couple of years of seasoning in the lower grades first and then we’ll see
The thing about Luke L is he has pure athletic capacity that you cannot coach; it's just there. The question is whether he can be coached to improve his handling and overall positioning, rather than be a raw athletic talent.

But at least the athletic capacity is there, and it's a kind of nuggety explosive speed and power that we don't commonly have in our players.

Major negative for me is most wingers are trending towards solid and tall rather than short and explosive, so he'd have to be a Panthers-type exception to teh modern winger's build.

It's a really good signing. Just unqualified good.

He's the exact sort of player we need on the wing as we're just so weak across the park. You'd imagine he'd be a great compliment to Turuva and someone who can actually finish and run through players to finish those half opportunities we never capitalise on. Looks fast enough.

He's also a rising player rather than one who is past it. Bulldogs forum almost universally disappointed about losing him and most feel that they wish we'd taken Addo-Carr instead.

Looks like a fair contract, if anything a bit cheaper than you'd expect us to pay given how it feels like no one wants to play for us. If he doesn't work out, it's only two years and for not much dollars.

Can't think of an available prospect like him. Well done, tigers.

He dosen't seem to be good defensively from what im hearing. Could be an Olam type --> One big hit every once and a while and plateaus after.
But I'm here for the tackle busts, run metres, and X-Factor !!
