JESSIE RAMIEN BOOTED FROM KNIGHTS!

Too risky to pay Ramien big money on a long term contract. I'd prefer Lomax who seems a more level headed character and has fullback potential. Cutis Scott is another option I guess but again, not sure I'd throw the world at him in terms of dollars or length of contract

You honestly believe this? I’m surprised I would of thought Ramien was quicker than masters?

Ramien is no speedster. It is his strength to break tackles that makes him dangerous. He needs to return to the Sharks. We need Scott and Lomax. Scott needs us to return to Sydney and come under the influence of Marshall and Matterson and co. Scott's best is far superior to Ramien's. Masters is a gem

It's true his main attribute is his ability to break tackles but I think you're underestimating his speed. He is no slouch at all.

It won't be one or the other in terms of Ramien and Lomax, Lomax will be our long term fullback if we can sign him.

I haven't seen Ramien play enough to know how fast he is. But he certainly couldn't be slower than Masters. Masters and Momo is a very slow pairing - both as slow as the other. We already have power players, we need pace. If that's not ramien then let him go.

4 years is a definite no too. 4 years should only be offered to elite level players who have demonstrated form and fitness over at least a couple of years.

Scott would have to have conditions written into his contract about behavioural expectations and associated release clauses.

He's been available all season and no one has touched him. That's pretty damning.

I disagree with alot of formers here. 4 years for an extremely talented 22 yo is fine. The problem has been our 4 year contracts have been with people 28+. The kids a stud, give him early ball and he does damage. He looks to be carrying a little etc around the belly which would be trimmed fast by madge.

@balmain-boy Scott has more upside than Ramien. Maturity, the guidance of his parents and our playing group would all be positive steps to get his career ontrack. We have a strong centre in Marsters so another of similar style at probably higher cost is not the preferred outcome. I believe Ramien will be a Shark. That is where he played his best football and with the pace from Xerri, they compliment one another.

Lomax or Scott / or both in preference to Ramien for mine. Don't like him at all.

I agree Lomax and Scott are better prospects. I don’t think Scott will return to Sydney. Townsville is the better option for him. I’d be stunned if Ramien doesn’t return to the Sharks. Lomax for 2021 is the only likely signing out of the three.

Scott would be in the limelight in Sydney. He couldn't get away with stuff here that he can being an NRL player in Melbourne. If he were an AFL player the media down there would have destroyed him. But he plays for the Storm so they don't really care.

Newcastle may be an option for Scott. Regional backwater rather than a large city.

What does he do in Melbourne...?

Does anyone actually have an inside info on this to even confirm we are one of the teams ?
Seem like just a report on a slow news day to start chatter... Hope I am wrong and we are in with a shot but all signs lead to him going back to Sharks with their endless salary cap..

No inside word, only what was reported in the courier mail saying us and the Sharks are the teams he's deciding between.

He'd be odds on going back to the Sharks.

Yeh they need a 4th centre to fight it out for 2 spots that 3 are all ready fighting for, the sharks don't need Ramien, if they buy him they suck at roster management

But excel at cap rorting. Gee they are lucky they were cap compliant in 2016 considering they were caught over the cap in 2015 and 2017. Keep up the great work Todd!
