I thought Pascoe had absolutely nothing to do with recruitment?

That's what I was led to believe too. I was under the impression his role was related to tv ratings and merchandise sales.

If true, what odds can we get of Jimmy and BJ getting arrested during the off-season?

Together

Yes, together. Sportsbet might have something.

SMH could run a double page spread with the WTs' logo all over it.

Honestly, i know the club is trying, BUT i just don't feel that other clubs discards is the way to go. If you want to win a comp they must persist chasing A graders.
In saying that,i am sure in the event we do sign him,it shouldn't cost us too much! His defence worries me.

Sometimes it can work out. The bulldogs and us couldn't get through to Suli, but it seems Manly might have been the right fit.

If he's cheap and it's a gap filler before JAC, then why not?

1. Mbye
2. Talau
3. Jimmy
4. BJ
5. Noffa

It's passable

.....without sounding facetious here, in your honest opinion. Does that look like a backline that is of top 8 material??

We keep Kepaoa in reserves, he'll be on every other clubs radar, including the Roosters who will be looking to replace the Morris bros.. He's demonstrated his ability to finish with pace and strength. He looks to be a centre.

Id prefer youth tbh but that backline could be amazing or could let in 1000 tries

What we've been told is that
- Other people in the club handle all of the recruitment.
- Pascoe is one vote on a committee which decides whether to offer a contract.
- Pascoe has the power to veto a signing if he wants (which he never does).

I too am interested in why he is there.

Jimmy would burn the grass at Concord and if true would definately inject much needed speed into the backline...it would be the ultimate test of Madge being a man manager...TheJet has issues but he also has what we need in the way of speed...I personally wouldnt risk it...but Im not in the footy department at the WTs...

I see what you did there

That back line leaking points goes without saying. Nofa , only now is starting to improve on reading defence, before that was a little suspect, imagine BJ and Jimmy,...Puuuleeease !!!!!

If he ticks the boxes and comes cheap I say give it a shot..
If he is switched on he would be a bargain for us and if not its not a lot of money and time wasted.
2 year deal with the 2nd year in club favour. He would understand this would be his last shot and should want to make it successful... He was in SOO only 2 years ago and would of last year but got injured..

Don't worry, Jimmy will be under BJ's tutelage, on and off the field.

He was paying the bill maybe? Coffee is expensive in concord, you need a senior leader with sufficient financial delegation to run the show.

Was that info from Pascoe?

Roberts would be a bargain buy for Wests Tigers. We need speed in the backline and Roberts has plenty of it.

BJ is probably on his last warning. If he plays up he will be dropped and likely shown the door,

He has had some issues their is no doubt but he is also the 2nd fastest player in the game, played Origin in 2018 , would come cheap and is only 27. If he has his head on right then its a brilliant signing - if he doesn't then don't sign him

I don't want cheap! Sure, you can bag some bargains at the markets if you attend at the end of the day. But, i just don't like eating small rotten fruit that's had everyone's paws all over it during the day!
I want expensive!!! You get what you pay for,it's all relative. Unless your Craig Bellamy who has has an ability to turn numb nuts into first graders !

Yeah, fans championing rubbish signings because they're cheap is wearing thin.

This isn’t a rugby club . It’s a multi billion dollar industry requiring a CEO to run a multi million dollar company. He’s here to ensure we turn a profit , and built up a larger foothold within that billion dollar industry . The football is left to footballers . It doesn’t seem like rocket science to me . But some of you think it’s 1980 and it’s all built on chook raffles , and bingo nights . How hard a concept is it . It’s not a CEOs job to run the football department . He overseas it , and is adherent to a board . Hot tip , just like every other major corporation

Exactly and for the blind Pascoe haters wondering why he is their talking to Jimmy, if your trying to convince someone a club is serious about you, of course the CEO should be involved.

People here carry on like Pascoe is picking our recruits. I would hope Madge is making those decisions primarily.

We do need to be careful. Do Souths have some dirt on him? If so, they could release that after we sign him, I bet they would too.
