He has had some issues their is no doubt but he is also the 2nd fastest player in the game, played Origin in 2018 , would come cheap and is only 27. If he has his head on right then its a brilliant signing - if he doesn't then don't sign him

I don't want cheap! Sure, you can bag some bargains at the markets if you attend at the end of the day. But, i just don't like eating small rotten fruit that's had everyone's paws all over it during the day!
I want expensive!!! You get what you pay for,it's all relative. Unless your Craig Bellamy who has has an ability to turn numb nuts into first graders !

Yeah, fans championing rubbish signings because they're cheap is wearing thin.

Well, JAC wasn't cheap and West Tigers failed miserably. I am sure that the club wouldn't not of got him even if they offered $30K past their offer.

I thought Pascoe had absolutely nothing to do with recruitment?

What we've been told is that
- Other people in the club handle all of the recruitment.
- Pascoe is one vote on a committee which decides whether to offer a contract.
- Pascoe has the power to veto a signing if he wants (which he never does).

I too am interested in why he is there.

Was that info from Pascoe?

If i was at the Helm at WT ,first thing i would do is grab Pascoe by the ear and waltz him into my barber in Drummoyne.

Absurd.
The jet walks away from Souths not wanting a penny and we offer him a contract probably for more money, and Souths don’t chip in anything?

Is it just me?

The only thing that needs to be asked . Is having Roberts worth the risk ? If the answer is yes , then what’s the issue ? I don’t get it ? It’s not JAC , but who else has his upside ? Laurie and Roberts has potential and speed ? Where else are we getting that ? Who else is available ?

How do we entice marquee players to come when we are continually ask them to play witj the NRLs rejects and off cuts.....

Best of.luck jimmy somewhere else

On what basis do you say 'probably for more money'?

I would be tipping it would almost certainly be less money

I think a lot of the forum are underestimating what Madge has in mind for next year...I dont even know if Jimmy coming to us has Madges approval,he has to coach this mob to win games, but I dare say all of the BJ knockers and critics of the club should just wait and see what pans out next year...
Benji gone out of the backline and I think you will see a vast improvement from BJ ...he is an awesome ball runner and should get heaps more ball next year...Jimmy in there as well and we should see a lot more go forward than sideways..
I will wait until all the dust settles and view everything after Xmas....

Jimmy may not get a start...who knows...

Talau is at the point where consistent first grade is imperative for his development. if we plan for him to be one of our long term centres, he needs to be there week in week out. I don't see the point of Roberts being here for that reason. for starters we have Talau, Kepaoa, M'Bye, Leilua, Momirovski, Kei and Hoffman already on our books, and he'll block the pathways of the young ones.

Not worth the risk. Clearly has demons that he can’t control feel sorry for the bloke but it’s not our business we’ve got enough crap going on at WT

That’s exactly what JAC would have done though ! Because , I don’t think he was playing fullback all of next season .

These potential purchases would have to be approved by Maguire. I was under the mistaken impression WTs is a development club, not an aged care retirement home. While Roberts does have the redeeming pace, it is very disappointing news about Mansour.
