Roberts suspended for 1 game and $7,500. Unbelievably unfair. The NRL suck.

Farcical to say the least.
That ban better be able to be served while he is in quarantine.

It is not.

And yet Vaughan can serve out his ban whilst not even being employed.

Honestly I think I’m just going to switch off the NRL for the rest of the year.

It’s been pathetic lately..

It’s like a boys club…

Roberts shouldn’t be fined, or a game suspension.

You had idiots bringing women back to their rooms and people having parties.. but someone going onto a balcony for fresh air? Just stupid.

Suspended for breaking a "Gaffa tape seal" according to the SMH. Also did strange things to the elephant made from bath towels.

There is no comparison whatsoever between smuggling people in and out of the bubble, or breaking lockdowns for tiktok videos and lying about it, and getting a 30 second breath of fresh air on your own balcony with nobody else in the vicinity. But the punishments are pretty similar. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is where I honestly think that the NRL has absolutely no compassion or true regard for human beings...its all about the dollars and esteem....JTJ may have ""broken a deadset stupid rule"" by going out on the balcony, while trying to deal with his mental status while in lockdown,if Valandys was fairdinkum and has the push he reckons he has,he should of said that we will treat Jimmy in a more relaxed way due to his personal issues, however we will find a form of very reasonable punishment to satisfy the Premier...he is an exemption,he didnt party, bring people back or go on a drinking binge....HE WENT OUT ON HIS BALCONY....
next AP premier...do what the draconions do and weld up the bloody doors and windows if your so worried,,,what a joke...

Absolute joke!!!

12 Dragons players get only 1 match for completely disregarding NSW Government lockdowns and the directives of their own coach. Jimmy gets the same for a breath of fresh air while being locked up in a tiny room. How in any sane sense of reality do both crimes even come remotely close to warranting the same punishment?

If you really don't want players to use the balconies then lock the doors with a master key as all hotel managers would have one. Don't use bloody duct tape lol.

Arrow and Api completely broke the bubble lockdown orders by bringing in external visitors yet only 2 matches.

**Why arent our management banging down the door on this terrible decision.**

**Where are u Pascoe???**

Can someone tell me why the NRL agreed to the rule that the players weren't allowed on the balcony? From what I can see, JTJ hasn't broken any of the quarantine rules that apply to everyone else. The QLD health website specifically says you can go out on your balcony as long as you stay away from other people.

https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/protect-yourself-others/quarantine/hotel-quarantine

JTJ followed these rules, but gets a suspension and a fine, and yet the players and families who broke the specific quarantine rules had no further action taken against them. What a joke.

Im assuming its because the rule to gaffer tape the doors closed , came out after that breach by those other clowns passing food from balcony to balcony.
If Pascoe was to bang down the door on this terrible decision it wouldnt go down well and could possibly aggravate the CLOWN of a MINISTER who is in charge.
In saying that though its not very fair.

I can tell you why.
The NRL is hanging on by a thread so if the Queensland government says they want all players to do push ups on the toilet while singing the national anthem the NRL should ask how many.

It isn't an NRL rule, it was put in place by the QLD government.

If the players were aware of this requirement, then I’m not sure we can scream to loud?

We can about the inconsistency
