I'm going to pay homage to Sheens to welcome him home.

13 Hastings
9 Brooks
7 Jock
6 Daine or Someone
3 Doueihi
1 Someone or Daine

14 Simpkin or Liddle

And just in case you agree with the above, Nofo at prop.

Play Noffa at prop, until he learns to run straight and forwards and not to,slow down before he gets to the line….. also he may learn to mark up ,,, if he can do all this he may become a decent first grader

100%

I thought Nofa had his best game since his re-signing. I often wonder why he runs backwards?

Agree, but it's so disappointing he started now? I reckon he got spoken to

Good young kid but not a game breaker.

He's an organiser. He's not supposed to be a game breaker.

Lol ok

Maybe you need to understand the game before commenting. Not every player on the field needs to be the dynamic x factor game breaker. We currently only have one of those players in our entire top 30 squad, so it's just stupid to call out a young half for this.

And in a way, in time, if he can nail his 40/20s and change the momentum of a game like DCE can then he could well become a game breaker.

Maybe I do. I bow to your superior RL knowledge.

Jock definitely been bulking up. He made a joke on the WT website that he's been smashing the smorgasbord at the qld hotel, first I thought he mustn't be focused on footy but seeing he's size on the weekend now see its deliberate. Must be bulking up hard and looks like it's working I reckon he could be building nicely for next year.

**Madden relishing First Grade Experience**
Michael Blok
Wests Tigers

Jock Madden may still be feeling the aftereffects of Viliame Kikau running out him, but the young playmaker loved his opportunity of playing in the top grade against Penrith on Sunday.

With Adam Doueihi ruled out with a knee injury, Madden was handed his first start in the NRL (second career game) against the Panthers and he looked impressive throughout the 80 minutes.

“It was good to get out there — it was awesome to be back playing in the NRL,” Madden said.

“It was a very fast game. The Panthers are a very quality team, so it was a good opportunity for me.”

The 21-year-old said he enjoyed combining with halfback Luke Brooks — a mentor that has been valuable to his career progression.

“I thought we combined really well — we had a good week leading up into the game,” Madden said.

“There are patches we can still work on, but I thought it worked quite well together and I’m looking forward to getting back out there this weekend.

“Luke has played a lot of NRL games. He’s helped me along the way — how to control teams, his kicking game, his leadership.”

Due to the suspension of the reserve grade competitions in 2020 and 2021, Madden’s game time has been limited over the past two years, and although it’s been difficult at stages, the youngster has used to opportunity to be around the NRL squad to his advantage.

“It’s been difficult. I’ve probably only played 15 games in two seasons. It’s been very challenging,” he said.

“We’ve got to go into training each day with the right mindset to better yourself and being around the NRL guys has helped me.”

With a young squad at Wests Tigers, Madden is looking forward to taking his game to a new level in the coming years.

“I want to have another big pre-season this year and hopefully I can nail down a spot in the NRL team,” he said.

“Everyone has developed quite well. There are a lot of younger players playing now and we’re building that now. “If you look down the track in two to three years, a lot of us younger players would’ve played a bit of NRL and that will help us moving forward.”

More keen to see how he goes this week against easier opposition. Hopefully our attacking plays look better than last week

Lets hope the players aren't thinking this way ....no easy opposition in the NRL

They're easier then Penrith though, that seems pretty obvious. Our players bludge against any team they don't discriminate

The fact the club re-signed Jock is pretty incredible. Lovely young bloke but not a first graders rear end

Could see it in the trials and in reserve grade. Hartigan etc. have no idea.
