Another Legend is lost , the Duet he did with Jennifer Warnes Up Where We Belong was an all time classic R.I.P

Never forget Joes's voice in the last scene of Carlito's way with Al Pacino & who can forget the Wonder Years theme song.

Loved playing all Joe's albums out loud when I was a youngster, much to my father's dismay lol

RIP Joe - the music world will miss you.

My dad was a jazz man, who stayed firmly entrenched in the Big Band era lol. I quite liked his music as well, but I take after my mother more when it comes to music - she was able to transition from one era to another and find something or someone that she really enjoyed listening to. I am the same, though I do favour the 60s/70s music era

Yeh I was never much of a fan and hated the song mentioned in the OP…but always sad to hear someone go from the big C
R.I.P. JC

I only ever knew of 2 or 3 songs of his and always thought he had an awesome voice, he was a bit before my time.
I'm not into love songs, but 5 year's ago went to a Wedding and the Bride danced that song "Up where we belong" with her Father. 3 Months after the Wedding he died of Cancer.
I'm sure that song hit Platinum and Grammy award winning hit.

A couple of favourites

Movie related 9 and a half weeks with ""you can leave your hat on "

Favourite song would have to be With a little help from my friends

Loved his voice and sound

RIP Joe Cocker Condolences to his family and friends
