Papali’i is not a middle
Has played plenty at Prop and Lock until now... Quite well.
Even started in the middle more than a few times last year for Parra.
And more to my point, offers more in either of those positions that Joe.

I was bitterly disappointed we moved Joe on however the real problem is the muppets just extended him for 3 years. How much confidence does that give you in their decision making.

Again u need more than a starting pack , just look at our bench last weekend, with Stepho out we were well shortKlemmer, Stefano, Pole, Papali'i, Twal...
There's 5 starting Middles for you, And the only one I wouldn't have kept Joffa over is Twal.
Comparing them isn't worth the effort, The difference in output is so minor...
Bang for buck would be more worthy of conversation, Although unnecessary.
Mate, I agree it's too much coin but they signed him a few months earlier! Pascoe, lee, Sheens etc... Would have all known the details, so either way they fuel the perception that they are incompetent.the issue with Joe was the reported salary he was on for 2024 and 2025 approx 600k once we got klemmer Joe's role in the team at that price was redundant.
The club took an opportunity to move him on this year to a team in Parramatta that needed him for 2023 and were willing to take on his inflated 2024 and 2025 salary.
As for Seyfarth is is not on much for his contract so the club keeps him and likewise a team did not want seyfarth's services for 2023
Oh... Future spot?Another player sticking in the knife and giving it a twist on exiting, never saw that coming 😒
Be interesting to see the clubs take because freeing up cap space doesnt seem to be the issue, in fact its probably the exact opposite at least in the case of this season.
Only thing that makes a shred of sense is its a future spot they are looking to fill n coming seasons.
Whada ya mean perception.Mate, I agree it's too much coin but they signed him a few months earlier! Pascoe, lee, Sheens etc... Would have all known the details, so either way they fuel the perception that they are incompetent.
What was the decision we got right jadtiger I must have blinked and missed itThey are due to get one decision right , so far it is a decade or so since they got one right

Oh... Future spot?
You mean for next year... That one where they say, there's always next year?
It's funny - We simply can't replace an average middle for a better player at any time according to most here...
But the same are more than happy to replace our half with an unproven kid at any time at all...
I expect you could be disappointed.
Do you think they'd have extended Joe if Klemmer was in talks and
available to the Tigers in June last year?

It's Brooks call he was offered a contract and has chosen to explore options in his own best interests.
In the best interests of the club you would expect the new recruitment manager would be doing the same on behalf of the club.
I don't think anyone can confidently predict the outcome will be better or worse for the club given our history around recruitment.
Replacing anyone is difficult for us.
