Joel Reddy

I'm inclined to agree that this would be a waste of money. I have never been a fan.

But if he does come I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I gues we can't have half a team of <20s running around in the NRL.

Why not? Brisbane did it and look at them now, short term pain long term gain

I like Reddy, Tall, Strong, Tough, Good under the high ball, defensively sound and Ok speed with good NRL experience, come on board son.

Reddy is tipped to announce he is leaving the Eels at the end of the season to join the Wests Tigers in 2012.

Expect the Wests Tigers to announce the signing of Kiwi and Storm prop Adam Blair as soon as this week following the release of yet another player last week in utility back Tim Moltzen.

Eels winger Joel Reddy is another to look out for, with insiders revealing a deal is very close to being done with the Tigers although the Parramatta junior has a number of offers from other clubs including those in the ESL.

i thought he was a goalkeeper for sydney fc ???

That's his older brother Liam who I thought was at the Newcastle Jets, pretty talented family, their sister is a highly rated netball player and their father played a little bit of footy as well.

Joel Reddy would be fine.

Everyone Poo-Poohed Matt Utai Joining us, and he hasn't put a foot wrong.

Joel Reddy would come to us having the advantage of having played much more recent quality football.

I think he'll be a great buy.

Reddy is a steady player who can do a lot of good things when in form, but no world beater. Better than Brown who is very reliable but consistently unremarkable. Every team needs these kind of players to play important rolls without soaking up too much of the salary cap.

The thing to keep in mind is that we cant judge any single player singing in isolation because we don't know what the rest of the team is remotely going to look like. If Ryan, Brown and Daniella all leave, and with Utai and Lote no spring chickens, then he is a good signing to add depth and a few options at (what you would expect to be) a reasonable price. If junior players come through and shine they can take his place and he can come off the bench or 18th man slotting into the team as required.

I wouldn't be overly excited if he signs, but i wouldn't be disgusted either.

I reckon he is pretty solid and would add good depth to the squad, might even secure a starting position is Ayshford goes to lock - Lawrence/ Tuqiri down the left edge - Reddy and Koroibete down the right.

If Heighington is rumoured to be going, that wouldn't surprise me if Ayshford moving to the #13 is brought forward.

He would be an good depth signing, much like daniela and brown, but he's better than those 2.

I would doubt Ayshford will be moved to accomodate him.
