Standard.

Another who's happy to coast and get paid like the former captain Mbye.
Mediocrity boys.

Goes to show how important attitude is. Need to sign quality players, and that includes players with a positive mindset and good attitude. You can be one of the most potentially skilled players going around but if you don't put it to use, through laziness and no drive then it means nothing. There's been a few of those going around..

Worst signing since Anasta and Blair.

I still think Reynolds was our worst ever signing

At least Reynolds *wanted* to play. Mbye seems to not care at all.

I still think Packer was our worst signing

BJ era has ended glad the club made the right call

Still wish JTJ would get some early ball with some space, he is craving for it and think once he does it could be a very good kick start for him. Looking at the rest of the season and he does come up against some centers he should dominate against as well. Lets hope we see him fly.

Great players go looking for the ball, JTJ cant sit back and expect the ball to be thrown his way.
Each time he makes a break i hope to see a clean pair of heels, still waiting for that to happen in our colours

i think we have signed a full NRL squad of dud players

The good players make another squad which we let go

I think that was a trial against the warriors over in NZ wasn’t it?
I had the same thought and then it all went pear shaped

He is always getting into dummy half and having a dig, his defense is my only real issue.

I'll put my hand up, in the preseason I recall making several posts about us having potentially the best centre pairing in the NRL haha.

Good to be optimistic in the pre season. I was too. I thought we were getting our act together with some reasonable interim buys on the player market to add some experience and grit. Boy, was I wrong.

Waiting for JTJ to get early ball and be put into space is like waiting to win lotto.

I too was excited to see our side have size in Joey and speed in Jimmy as our centres and looking at the trial against Manly was lured into a false sense of excitement.

It comes down to passion and personal drive and I think BJ lacks it in spades.

It is a shame as we could have used both if they had aimed up this year. I think Jimmy is at least trying just not the player he once was.

Mate, I think you pegged it there with the passion and personal drive comment. We have to ensure all signings both younguns and older heads have it still. Too many coasters and happy with existing things have come into the squad entrenching an already existing culture that is in WT. dunno, maybe we should be innovative and get psych tests done to check this need before signing. We have been burnt way too many times.

Yeah same, seems to be a very common thing here - promising players turning to shite once the put on the Tigers jersey. We could field 2 teams of players who many of us thought would go really well here doing absolutely nothing in the end. It’s very disappointing, I know it happens at all clubs, but it seems to happen to us with just about everyone we sign!

Even if he worked harder getting the ball in the middle of the park he wouldn’t benefit from it.

Doesn’t change the fact he hasn’t had any quality ball all season.

With AD playing 5/8th hopefully he spreads it fast this time around rather than hog and run all the time.

The hope is someone picks him up and we can flick him quick. I am sure there is a team that would take him for $400k in 2022. He may even have to start looking at ESL options...

Best centre in the comp, self proclaimed

Hey even jenko offered more

Remember this cracker from Tahu in the pre season:

"Tahu will work closely with the Tigers three-quarters, including Roberts, Joey Leilua and Tommy Talau. The 40-year-old believes there is tremendous upside to the trio.

“You look at Jimmy, he was the NSW centre just [two years ago],” Tahu said. “That’s where I expect him and BJ to be as well. They just need to believe in it.

“One of the reasons I’m there is to give them that belief. They are natural strike weapons. There’s not too much to teach on the field.

“I feel they should be the NSW centres, for sure.”

Must have all just got on the cans.

I will be at the game on Sunday, will yell out to get the Jett some early ball

I also thought he was a good signing and having Raiders pay some freight was a bonus...
he just comes across lazy but also think if he was on a good team where opponents are focusing on others he would play well. Good decision by the club moving on from him.

Whose our marketing Guru
We've had the best Tigers and Magpies Team ever
The best Wests Tigers Team since 2000

NOW

The worst signings by Wests Tigets since 2000
it could be a long list might have to make it a top 30 squad😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I’ll nominate Mbye for 5/8 captain and also a spot on the bench becuse he is just that qualifies for this team

I honestly don't think that should be enough for us to let him go.
