Joey has had more than enough chances to prove he belongs. It’s time Madge bites the bullet & looks to the future not ‘hope’ that something clicks in Joey to all of a sudden produce consistent attacking & defensive games for us.

Same goes for Nofoaluma


Except Nofa is contracted for another 3.5 years. I get he brings that Magpies junior element & is seen as a ‘culture’ asset but I agree. He needs to go to KOE to work on his defensive decision making & must meet KPIs there before re-introduced to firsts. If he throws his toys out with his cot, then it says a lot. But if he takes it on board & comes back better, those are the characters we want in the club.

Joey isn't part of the squad that's gone to Queensland and has been told he's not part of the club's plan going forward it will be interesting if Lucy's form picks up time will tell.

"Tahu will work closely with the Tigers three-quarters, including Roberts, Joey Leilua and Tommy Talau. The 40-year-old believes there is tremendous upside to the trio.

“You look at Jimmy, he was the NSW centre just [two years ago],” Tahu said. “That’s where I expect him and BJ to be as well. They just need to believe in it.

“One of the reasons I’m there is to give them that belief. They are natural strike weapons. There’s not too much to teach on the field.

“I feel they should be the NSW centres, for sure.”

I'll put my hand up, in the preseason I recall making several posts about us having potentially the best centre pairing in the NRL haha.

I too was excited to see our side have size in Joey and speed in Jimmy as our centres and looking at the trial against Manly was lured into a false sense of excitement.

It comes down to passion and personal drive and I think BJ lacks it in spades.

It is a shame as we could have used both if they had aimed up this year. I think Jimmy is at least trying just not the player he once was.

True but just on overall bang for buck Reynolds I think was worse. 20 odd games in 3 years and even when he played he was pretty poor. Mbye has played some good games for us but this year he's been horrible and his attitude in game has sucked. I can't wait for him to be gone.

BJ era has ended glad the club made the right call

Still wish JTJ would get some early ball with some space, he is craving for it and think once he does it could be a very good kick start for him. Looking at the rest of the season and he does come up against some centers he should dominate against as well. Lets hope we see him fly.

I agree, you could never question Reynold's attitude, he always put in.

Like Ballin, it was just bad luck he spent more time in recovery than on the pitch.
