I done my research on the kid, he is one of the best prospects in England. The fans rate him highly, he likes to offload, can rack up a tackle amount, can throw a long ball & is an angry little man. Has played 20 SL games, all at the age of 18 or 19\. He is also the captain of the young England side. Here's hoping the Knights snag him over the Tigers! :smiley:

Looks a great prospect from what ive seen. Wigan dont need him as we've got to many backrowers already so hopefully he goes to the tigers if the bulls go down. The 4th Burgess brother would be available aswell. Another good prospect. Go Wigan Warriors. Go the Tigers!
 
An English backrower, playing for Wigan that wants to test himself in Australia. Did anyone catch any of his performances in the World Cup? Is it worth trying to get him in the team?
 
Remember him quite well playing in the centre for England at the World Cup.

We have Suli, Masters, Milne, Fonua, Kev and at a pinch Thompson as centres.

Each and everyone of them in my opinion are better than Bateman.
 
Bateman is a 2nd rower not a centre. He is not the biggest in size but he is aggressive, has a great work rate, and is very tough player.
He would be a great purchase if the club went in that direction.

I think he is very similar to Matt Gillet.
Who just happens to be considered as one of the best Backrowers in the game.
You could say Wade Graham is more of a footballer too, how does he rank?

Gillett has one of the best lung ratings in the NRL… If this bloke was similar, he wouldve been signed by now [considering Matt is considered one of the best backrowers in the game]

Wade is the consistent scenario for backrowers. He is a 5/8 stuck in a slow mans body.

Bateman aint a 5/8, he is more the Paul Carter type
 
I found it very interesting that Bateman had a very quiet game for him last night.
I wonder what else was on his mind.....looking at you, you weasel Isaac....
Bringing up contracts discussions in the week of the GF worked well hey...

He was sick during the week, maybe that’s why.
