John Grant should replace Lote

I haven't seen him play this year but after reading these posts had another look at his highlight reel from last year.
Big , fast , strong , can catch bombs plus has a good boot on him.
Maybe he hasn't served his league apprenticeship yet but after his performances the past few weeks you would think they would have to consider him .
IMO from looking at his style he would make a great running fullback too.

We already have two wingers guys.

Ryan and Utai. There are only two wings on a football field

Yes,but we only have two first grade centres…Lawrence and Ryan.Ashyford & Reddy arent delivering at the moment,so thers a place for Grant on the wing with Utai

throw him in the run on side , tell him now or never , nobody on here knows how he would go , but at 107 kg and a point to prove , this week i would have him in

im sorta thinking that as well.. but it's way too early for that, but maybe later…we've already seen wingers such as boyd, morris, inglis (to some extent) all make a successful transition from wing to fullback.
just the thought of him with such body size and speed bringing the ball back or chiming in on second man plays is mouth watering

Without knowing for sure I would imagine Grant would be the faster of the two over 100 metres. Koroibete would be faster over 50\. Grant would probably be the fastest in the NRL over 100 but there are a few who would be faster over a short distance. That's not to say he doesn't have explosive pace. He does. It's just that some other players have massive acceleration and not much top end. Ben Barba springs to mind.

John grant beat barba by approx 15-20m in the race last year, and barba had been preparing for it grant took the race with a days notice..
If barbas acceleration was better than grants he wouldn't have been tailed up by that much

Koroibete has gone under 11 seconds over 100 metres. It would be a very close race between the two.

That would be a race worth watching

Well we know Grant's not replacing him this week, Grant, Humble and Iosefa have just been named to play for BRET this weekend.
