Please if you cant get to a Balmain game watch some tape of some of the games. John Grant is not anywhere near NRL standard at this stage and really is just holding his place in the Balmain team. Iam not saying he will not make it but at this stage 2013 would be his best chance if any

I will admit to being highly impressed by the highlights reel and wanting to see him play, however after watching a few bret games I realized he won't play nrl this year unless injuries destroy our back line (touch wood).
He gets found out in defense, struggles at times to be in the correct attacking position and unfortunately has a habit of dropping the ball rugby style when tackled.
When he proves that he can read both attack and defence and gets the little fundamentals right he could be a great winger, but for the moment I am happy to leave him in regs.

You are kidding yourself about Grant. Ive watched him a few times and as we know he is fast over 100m but I’ve seen him get run down over 10-15m more than once in reserve grade…..
Koroibete is a miles better player and should be given a chance when Tuquiri is deservedly dropped.

Am i missing something? Even the highlights reel doesn't excite me. Also watched him in Reggie's, he had no clue in every aspect. Will be lucky to remain at the WT beyond this year. Worst recruit we've ever signed. So what if he's quick.

851 with respect josh Morris is not a genuine speedster in the nrl, he wouldn't finish top 10 in a race, in 2007 Chris Lawrence left him and his brother diving at air over 80m at home bush against the dragons, and inglis gave up the race after 30m…
But grant is obviously lightning auick if u saw him run that night

Taniela was a Rugby winger and it took him 2 seasons and alot of it in the forwards in reggies to find his feet

The less said about that horrible game, the better.
What's the fascination with this bloke? There are probably 5 wingers at the Tigers that are above him in the pecking order. The bloke has barely played a dozen games of league if that, give him 12 months at least before thinking about a shot at first grade.
